Since dying my crinnie, it's very creased.
I presume I can ask Carolyn Allen's to do something with this when they come to do the dresses, but, in the interests of saving costs.....
;)

Can I iron this myself in some way, shape or form?

Perhaps with a normal iron with a tea-towel over, so not irnoning the crinnie directly?

Or do the creases not matter given that it will be seen very little anyway, and I don't want to lose the volume if I iron it wrongly and make it too flat?!! :rotfl:

My aunt, who used to work at David's Bridal, has often said that the best way to deal with a crinoline is to hang it in the bathroom when you take a HOT shower. The steam from the shower will help relax the crinoline enough. She has also said "Do NOT iron or steam it!" because the crinoline (at least the one my daughter will have) has been "treated" and if you do steam or iron it it will loose the body that it has.

I could be wrong but my Aunt is usually right so we're gonna abide by her instructions.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the tips!
I hope my dyeing it hasn't already ruined the treatment!! :rotfl:

Hiya,

Carolyn Allens charge $20 to steam a crinnie - we are about to put our order in with them so I have had all the prices confirmed.

I'm going to hang mine in the bathroom with the shower on hot and it should be fine. I did this with a load of net material over the weekend and it worked really well :thumbsup2
