We are strongly considering going for a number of days around Presidents week. Am I crazy?? Can anyone who has done this reassure me that it will be not that bad! We are at the parks when they open and get ALOT done in a few hrs and use fast pass to the full extent. SO..............any veterans out there for that week that can give me good info?
THANKS

We were at WDW a few years back over this weekend. Can't say I'd go again during this time because we like the more "off-peak" less crowded times to go. And Valentine's Day was that Friday night and there was NO availability at any restaurant in EPCOT if you were a "walk-up" that night.

Can't reassure you that it won't be bad crowdwise because from our experience it was busy. The "up" side was the weather. Cool nights with comfortable days and barely any rain.

Many schools in the northeast have spring break this week and of course, FL schools have off that Monday. I'd recommend if you can to go the week before and end your vacation that weekend if you want to have some non-crowded days.

If you plan to get to the parks at the opening you may be able to avoid some of the crowds. By lunchtime though it will probably be quite busy.

This year Mardi Gras falls during President's week. I know there will be lots of southerners there during that time as well.

We went during Pres. Week this year, and it drove me nuts because I'm used to going at the least crowded times of year. However, I think it wasn't as bad as most peak times. MK was open until 3am for EMH one night, which was a nice perk. Fastpasses were necessary for the more popular rides- I remember standby for Space Mtn. being 100 minutes.

We went President's Day week in 2005 and will be there again in 2007. The lines weren't too bad - they definitely got better by Wednesday. The weather was great - we swam everyday!! Our holidays are dictated by our children's school calenders so I much rather put up with the "peak traffic" of the vacation week than the steam of the summer!!

We are also planning to go to WDW during Presidents' Day/Mardi Gras/ Daytona 500 week. I know with so much going on the parks will be rather busy during this peak time of the year. I wonder if we should rethink our plans and go when there will be less going on at WDW area.

President's Day is Monday Feb 19th. Alot of schools in the Northeast have the whole week off.
