Crazy question

We currently have a package booked for Nov 24 thru Dec 4 at the Beach Club with 10 day park hoppers. IF (and I know it's a BIG IF) a public offer or pin comes my way for a % off room only for Nov 27 thru Dec 4 (I know the 24 thru 26 will be blacked out for T-giving weekend) can I do this:
Change my current package to include only the 24th thru 27th keeping the 10 day park hoppers, then book the 27th thru the 4th with the discount? I also want to pay down my balance little by little each month (so it doesn't see like so much come October) will that be a problem if I do change things?

Yeah, you would just be having a split stay if you did the first three days of your trip with one ressie, then the second part with the discount. I'm not sure if they let you get 10 day hoppers if your ressie is for 3 days, but really you should be able to. What if you were doing 3 days on site, and the rest off, you'd still need tickets the whole trip so seems that you could buy as many days as you need with that first stay. If they didn't let you, you could always upgrade the 3 days tickets to 10 after you have them. But I think you'll be good. Only problem should be, if the part of your stay that you'd be using the discount was a package discount, not room only, you'd probably need to at least buy one day tickets for each member of your group. But, that ticket is good until you want to use it so you could save it for another trip.

You can do it without a problem. The tickets aren't an issue. You may have to change rooms but you will definately have to check out and check back in even if you are staying at the same resort. Dining plan won't be able to be added but if that's not a big deal it's rather easy and definately worth the money differnce.

Last year (Thanksgiving week), we booked at the YC for dh and myself, the treehouses for dds/families. We booked that in March with no discounts. I received a pin for 40% for 3 of the 6 nights at the YC. The TA re-booked our package. I didn't have to change rooms, it was still a package. We just received the discount price for the nights not blacked out.

Then I received a free dining pin. TA checked it out and it was a better offer with the 40% discount. We weren't able to get anything for the THV and then suddenly the TA found us a $500.00 gift card for that ressie.

I'm not sure if I have confused you more or been helpful. When I first spoke with the TA she said we will book it and I will keep an eye out for deals. Told me to send her the email if I received a pin. It was super. I think she ended up re-booking 3 times, but we did save some money.
