Crazy question! Please I need some help!

As you guys know the DH is not going with us on vacation this July. Well, now maybe my sister and her family may not be going either!
I have 214 points that I have to use before the end of November. We have to use them this summer as my DS is in HS and he can't miss anytime from school. I have a 2 bedroom value lockoff at Jambo and a value studio.
I have 2 weeks vacation time for July. I was just thinking that maybe I can cancel the 2 bedroom but keep the one bedroom part. Would they do it.???
I can possibly take an older nephew so my son will have someone to hag around with.
Am I going crazy by thinking that maybe it can be done??

No, for 2 reasons. First, it's a cancelation and rebooking and second, even if it's a lockoff, it may not be designated to be split into 2 units. You could cancel the 2 BR and keep the studio and you could wait list anything you wanted. Good luck, I hope it works out.

i second that. i had a 2 bedroom (a lock off) at BWV for a week and had family cancel on me as well. I called and said "can you drop the one bedroom and just give me the studio or vice versa?" and they said "nope. whole new ressie" fortunately they had a 1 bedroom so i'm good............and I banked the other points. Can you bank? Can you rent the extra points?

Well, it turns out that my sister and her kids will go now but not the husband.we already got our plane tickets , I will cancel the studio and just keep the 2 bedroom for us 6. I will bank the rest .I had to use the 214 from 2009 this year
