Crazy late VQ!

At some point I’ll do a post trip report about how amazing Disney was during and after an emergency we had this trip … but for the moment I just wanted to post this and see if anyone has seen GotG VQ availability this late before, this was tonight at 7:45!

Parks were much quieter today than we’ve experienced ovet the past 10 days!

At 7AM I was able to get a VQ for Guardians. Next I changed my park reservation to MK and secure a VQ for Tron. I then decided to purchase G+ so went through the purchase, changed our park reservations back to Epcot snd still secured a G+ for Remy with a 10:45 return time!! By this point it was 7:17.

Next time someone wants to know when the best time to visit Disney is with low crowds, we can just say to watch the weather channel for a hurricane threatening Florida.

last November during thanksgiving week. it was Sunday actually we were on our way to dinner at flying fish. sitting on bus I tried for guardians to make sure I knew my way around t he app for the VC and we got one at 5 PM. Never would have guessed. Had dinner walked over and saw Remi was at 45. Waited. Got on. While on got the boarding call. Walked to front of park and rode Guardians. That was a win, win, win night. Flying Fish, Remi, Guardians in one night. My kinda start to a trip.

I’ve had that happen twice on nights where there was some rain. Checked around 8pm and there was availability.

I had no idea you could change your park reservation after securing a VQ in one park to then secure a VQ in another park. I thought if I have park hoppers I could get VQ for both parks without changing the park reservation.

I doubt that. Without VQ those rides would have a much longer standby wait time causing more people to want ILL.

Was your boarding group for Tron not called until after 2:00, or did you change your park reservation again and go to MK in the morning? If you did go to MK in the morning, I assume you kept modifying your G+ for Remy until it was for a time after 2:00.

Back to normal today, GoTG VQ gone in milliseconds. Had to pay for $ILL

I had no idea you could change your park reservation after securing a VQ in one park to then secure a VQ in another park. I thought if I have park hoppers I could get VQ for both parks without changing the park reservation.

To be eligible for the 7AM drop you must have a park reservation for the park where the VQ is thus needing to change park reservations between securing VQs for both attractions. It’s extremely rare to be able to do this. The recent hurricane and quieter week worked in our favour.

Was your boarding group for Tron not called until after 2:00, or did you change your park reservation again and go to MK in the morning? If you did go to MK in the morning, I assume you kept modifying your G+ for Remy until it was for a time after 2:00.

Tron BG was not called until after 2PM. 2/3 times we had 7AM VQs for Tron they were not called until after 2PM. One time we were called around 2:40 and another time not until 4:45.

I will say you can’t really determine when you will be called based on your VQ number as the rate they call numbers changes daily. It’s best to keep an eye on the app.

Based on our experiences, i would encourage anyone going to the MK to try for the 7AM drop in spite of what time you might be arriving at the park.
