Coloring pages can be a lifesaver, especially during long flights or downtime on a cruise.
I remember when I took a trip to Disney World with my family. We printed out a bunch of coloring pages beforehand, and they were a hit! It kept the kids entertained while we were waiting in lines or relaxing back at the hotel.

When my two were little I used to pick up mini packs of crayons from the birthday party section at stores and collect little books and papers for restaurants and other unexpected waits, these would be perfect.

When I first went off to college, I packed a couple coloring books and the big box of crayons. After a really stressful day, doing something simple and basic as coloring helped to relieve the stress. One of my roommates saw me doing this and laughed at me. I explained why I was doing, but he just laughed at the silly freshman.

One day after class, I walked into the room and there he was.....my roommate...sitting at the desk...coloring. He looked at me and say, "Not one word." I didn't say anything but I had a huge grin on my face when I walked back out of the room.
