FAVORITE:
Well, I had a few favorites but probably aquamarine was my favorite; very bright and vibrant.

LEAST FAVORITE:
The color I absolutely HATED was cornflower. It is so deceiving! You pick it up thinking it's going to be a nice, deep blue and it ends up so light no matter how hard you press down.

How about you? Oh, and does anyone else love the smell of Crayola crayons? Not just any crayons, but specifically Crayola? (Can you tell I really don't feel like working today?!) :teeth:

Ha ha!!! I thought the same thing about cornflower!!! Ha ha!! It drove me nuts!

I like the magenta color! I think that was my favorite. The Crayola Factory is about 2 miles from my house- it is great!

My favorites were the original glittery ones that came in the 64-pack...gold, silver, and copper. I also really liked Magenta. And cornflower, btw!

My least favorite would have to have been Maize. IT looked like mud to me!

I loved all the names, though!

Well, I can tell you that my dog's favorite appears to be green. If dd is coloring, she will nose around in the container and 9 times out of 10 will pick up the green one and try to eat it. :lmao:

And there is nothing better than the smell of a newly opened box of crayons!

Midnight Blue was my favorite.
I guess Sepia was probably my least favorite.

OHHHH How true that is :teeth:

For me....."PINK is my favorite crayon" No wonder I have an aerosmith obsession LOL!!

Hated none - loved them all.

Favorite color was the dark greens...probably forest green...and red...just plain ol' red...least favorite color was white...what was the purpose of that anyway??

Oh, and I always open a box to smell when walking through the school supply section of any random store...

Do they give tours to see how the crayons are made? I remember a few years ago Mr Rogers had the Crayola company tour that showed how the crayons were made. My kids got up and wandered off, but I thought it was great seeing how they were made! :)

Red was definitely my favorite, and white was my least favorite - I thought it was broke - dumb thing never worked.

I remember that on Mr. Rogers . I thought it was the coolest thing ever. :cool1: :thumbsup2

I agree about cornflower, and I hated those flesh colored ones, loved midnight blue.

I loved getting a new box, still love a big neat crisp new box! Ds insists on keeping his in a cereal box all broken and messy, ugh, LOL. I think the Easter bunny is going to bring us a new box. :Pinkbounc

I STILL love crayolas!
I guess all the days of coloring books and crayons turned me into the art director I am today!
My favorites as a child would have to be: carnation pink or jungle green.
I also hated cornflower blue. It WAS deceiving!
I still love getting a new box of crayons and although it is kind of silly to admit I still like to color in a new coloring book!

How funny- I just bought my nieces some Princess coloring books for our upcoming trip- and you know I couldn't resist breaking one in!! Princess Aurora is hanging out on my fridge!! :lmao:

My favorite was red, my least favorite was apricot, because I would always try to color skin that color, and it always came out looking orange. I got it confused with peach when I was little.

This brought back a happy childhood memory.

When I was a kid, on rainy days, my mom would bring out the box of 64 Crayolas. We had the box of 8 for our usual coloring or schoolwork, so that box was something special. My brother and I would sit and color for hours. I loved magneta. I didn't like either yellow green or green yellow.

And I still love the box of 64 crayons. I can't draw at all, but I do love to color! For me, the best part of having nieces & nephews was the fact that I could sit & color for hours again! :thumbsup2

Great question. Great thread.

I love crayons! But I'm a crayon snob. I only use crayola. everything else just feels soo....cheap.

I love the goldenrod one. I also love the blues. All the blues.

I never liked the red violet or violet red or whatever that funky looking pinkish one was. I hated that one. I picked it up thinking it was violet and *BAM* pink. no telling how many pictures I RUINED with a pink crayon. :sad2:

Wow - I loved my crayolas (yes, I too was (am)a crayon snob) when I was a kid (Still do) - a great new box of 64. I hated it if even ONE of my crayons was broken.. it just ruined the entire box!

Coloring is probably the ONLY artistic ability I had as a kid - at least now I can be creative with a computer!

I guess I'd have to say blue violet was my fav
I disliked Burnt Sienna (sp) - the reddish brown color

No, no. Burnt Sienna was perfect for tree trunks. I loved it. Ah, the smell of new crayons and a new coloring book.

Loved Blue Violet and all the colors in the purple range. I really hated Raw Umber. What the heck is that supposed to be anyway?! :confused3

My 18 year old daughter still has a pasion for Crayola Crayons (accept no subtitutes!) and loved that episode of Sesame Street about the factory when she was little. For the longest time she went around telling people that when she grew up she would be a crayon maker... :wizard:

Well, yes, it did/does have its place, but I just never liked the name I guess!
