Cracked glass cook top need a new stove recs?

A bottle dropped on the top of my stove. The glass cracked about 6 inches. A replacement is 500 dollars. I would like to purchase a stainless steel slide in for under $1,300. There are many choices and many sales pitches. Are you happy or unhappy please post your make and model. I love to cook and bake so it will be in use frequently.
