I am staying at CR CL and don't know yet if we will be a MK view. If not and we go to the lounge, is there a balcony we can sit outside and watch? Is there one from the rooms. I am willing to give up the CL and pay for the MK view in a tower if they have balcony views.

There are great views from the California Grille. Depending on the time of year and crowds, you might need a reservation to get in. I've never had a problem just going up there for a drink right before the fireworks.

The MK tower view rooms are awesome and have balconies with great views of the fireworks.

The concierge level lounge has a little balcony you can sit on I think. I can't remember b/c I watch from our balcony each time.

Not the best view, but you can see the fireworks from the CR bus stop. A couple years ago, I got off the bus by myself, it drove away and I heard "BOOM".

Sat down on the bench and enjoyed the show.

(Very magical moment as the bus I rode wasn't scheduled to go to CR, but was going to TTC from Boardwalk (or some Epcot resort... I don't really remember)... but was empty. The bus driver asked where I was headed and took me "home" to CR.)

There is the observation deck on the fourth floor under the monorail tracks (no chairs though)

From the lounge there are 2 balconies and both have seats. There are concrete benches on either side of the doors. That would be 4 total. there is plenty of room to sit there and watch Wishes. We did it all 4 nights we were there. We had a baylake view and loved it! Right now with construction going on , on the MK side if you're near the end you can hear the trucks all day.And see them. Not a great site. The Baylake side does have the tower itself being built but you don't hear the trucks or see them. I found it to be the best of both worlds: a water view with the pool below and the boats coming and going and then the lounge to see wishes! Also, since we wanted BL our room was ready by 10 am! They looked at us crazy when we requested that side over MK view!:confused3

Last August my family and I were in room #4847 which is the 2nd last room on the Magic Kingdom side. While they were working on the Bay Lake Towers during that time, we did not hear any of the trucks the whole time we were there.

That's the room we were in last May. My favorite room I've stayed in at the CR

That was last august. We were there in May of this year and while standing outside on the CL balcony we sat and listened to the trucks coming and going. We heard the backing up sound and all the other trucks leaving and coming. While it wasn't annoying or disturbing and it wouldn't have stopped me from staying there if I wanted to, you could hear them.If you're not in your room between the hours of 8am and 4pm you wouldn't know they were there. While the construction itself was going on on the Bay Lake side there was no truck noise at all. You couldn't even hear the men working. You could see them and I wouldn't advise keeping your curtains wide open if changing:eek: it was quieter.
