Do you only stand a chance of getting a view of the castle if you pay the $1200.00 upgrade or could you luck out and get the good view? any way to increases chances of this while avoiding that cost? THANKS!

Yes, your only guarantee of getting that view is to pay for it. If you are asking if a free upgrade is a possibility, those are very far and few between and only happen when a room (or rooms) are taken out of inventory for specific reasons (maintenance issues, overbooking, etc). You can ask at check in if a TPV is available, but I would expect to pay for it as asking to get it for free is a pretty sure way of not getting it.

Agreed. For theme park view at CR, you must pay for it. It is an amazing view!

Thank you for your replies. I would never ask for something for free that is meant to be paid for i just wondered if the fee for this was just to guarantee you got it but you could get it anyways. unfortunately it wont be in the budget for me to pay for the view so i know now not to get my hopes up when looking at the beautiful pictures of the castle view.

If you still want to stay in the Tower have you thought of getting the Bay Lake View, which is less expensive compared to their Theme Park View.

This is a good suggestion as the BLV is cheaper than TPV but is still in the tower .
