Can anyone tell me about your stays in the South Garden Wing of the CR?

All I have read about is the North Garden Wing...and we will be in the South Wing in March/April!

We have stayed in the tower before and want to know the differences between all three.

Thank you!:wave2:

We have stayed in the North Wing twice and the South Wing once. I like the North Wing better. If you want to be near the pool area stay in the South Wing but I like the views from the North Wing. I always ask for a non parking lot view.::yes::

the south garden wing is closer to the pool, but it takes longer to get to the arcade/food court, and the walkway to magic kingdom.

We LOVE the south garden wings. I always stay in rooms 5106-5110. These are the rooms that are facing the pool and closest to the main tower building. My favorite perk about these rooms are being able to let the kids go swim (and be able to see them CLEARLY) while I unpack! Another perk...large ground floor patio for easy acess to the pool and a GREAT ground level view(from the patio) of the lake for morning sunrise and nighttime electic parade.

I always CHOOSE the south wings (if we're not springing for the tower) over the north wings....it just feels more "resort" like a little futher away from the food and fun center and the bus station.

PS the arcade is Fantastic!! This past trip we invented a new shopping experience. My kids get $20.00 each for gift buying for their cousin's and this year they played(gambled) there money in the arcade and traded in their winnings(tickets) for some really cool presents. It's the best shopping experience I 've had with a 10 and 12 year old in a long time!!!

Enjoy the South wing!!

Thank you all for the information!

Thanks for the great room numbers and info about the south wing, "thegirls"! It's knowledge like yours that help me to rest about the decisions I have made!

We loved the south wing--we had "boat view" of the canal (aka garden view)--ground floor. It was so peaceful! Access to the pool was quick, and to keep things in perspective, you could get to the main building from our room in under 5 minutes. It wasn't even long enough to count as a "walk."

I stayed in the South Garden last March. I loved the room: our first-floor patio faced Bay Lake. It was very quiet. We had our own bit of beach where we used to love having drinks at night or coffee in the morning (a great place to watch the Electrical Water Pageant too - from your own private beach!).

The distance between the Garden Wings and the Tower is overemphasized: it's no more than a five minute walk from your room to the Grand Canyon Concourse. Tower roms can get very noisy; the place always has a din.

There is no difference in size or decor between Tower and Garden rooms. Just make sure to ask for a water view: you won't regret it!
