I have an option for CR in the Garden wing/with a patio
or the WL with courtyard view.

Which should I pick?

I'd take WL Courtyard view. I really like WL - such a nice atmosphere. CR is nice too, but for me, the monorail is the big attraction there. Unless I'm in the tower at CR, I'd rather stay elsewhere.

^ I agree. Save CR for another time when you can get in the Tower, WL Courtyard is great! Ask for a high floor so you can get a great view :)

I am at the CR garden wing!!! I think it sounds lovely and I am excited about being so close to the MK!!! I am sure the theme is better at WL but to me, CR screams traditional WDW...the decor is not great but the sz of rooms can't be beat!!! The price for a garden wing was more doable for me and we have 5 in our family so take that into consideration as well. We may be in an updated room by then, who knows?? I am going to be so happy to walk home everynight from MK's Wishes when all others are scrambling for a bus...my kids are not night owls as it is so that was a factor in my decision. You didn't say much about time of trip or family size or main trip agenda??? That is important in deciding as well...

Have fun planning :cheer2:

Another vote for the superior theming of the WL. It's what WDW is all about, getting saturated with that feeling of place that Disney is famous for creating. You really feel like your part of the show.

You could always split your stay and do both - that is what we are doing in July. We love the WL - the decor is awesome and you fell like you get away from the hub-bub of the parks. But, CR is so close to MK. I am sure you won't be disappointed either way.

:earsboy:

I would vote for the WL, but the monorail is a big draw for people even if they are not in the tower.

I stayed in the tower at CR last Dec and just returned from a stay at WL and hands down WL wins IMHO .Even the monorail does not sway my opinion because Wl boat service was great during our entire stay

Hummm... if you are going fall or winter I'd go WL easy b/c of the theming.
Spring or summer when the crowds pick up- CR b/c you are SO CLOSE to the MK, easy to get to everything by bus or monorail... I have only stayed in wing rooms & have LOVED them!

I prefer CR wing rooms over WL. The WL just doesn't seem deluxe enough to me, but that could just be personal preference. You might want to look at the resort pictures on allearsnet.com, but I found the CR rooms much more attractive in person. The CR rooms are huge, and you can walk to MK. The wings are also undergoing a rehab and those rooms look awesome.

My vote goes to the Courtyard view at WL. We love WL, and find it very peaceful and relaxing. The CR is very convenient with the monorail...but WL has an excellent boat service to MK. Either resort...you'll have a great trip.

Sherri could you tell me sbout your stay in the wing at CR? I am booked for Sept and am interested!!

Did you eat at CM or Concourse SH??? Or the Grill??? Thanks!!

:wizard: Definitely take the Lodge- It's a gorgeous place to stay and has a magical atmosphere that is unmatched, even by the priciest of disney world hotel's deluxe hotels

OK well I booked the WL with the courtyard view. I made my DH decide because I was agonizing over it for too long...

I am sure we will be happy...It is Disney after all!!!
