CR long walk from North Garden Wing to Towers?

About how long does it take to get to the Towers from the North
Garden Wing at the Contemporary? We are going with our 4-year-old and wondering if we should move to the towers.

From the outside of the door to door - about 30 seconds.

We loved staying in the north wing with our 2.5 yo! It was quiet. Our room was abt 1/2 way down. We could see the fireworks from our window.

Make sure you take the small boat over to FW. You 4yo will love the small petting zoo & pony rides ($3, closed toe shoe required). Have a meal at Trails End! One of the best "hidden secret's" in resturants at WDW.

Thanks, I think we will stay in the North Garden Wing. Unless AP rates for May come out and we can beat our current price! I am glad to know it is not a hike to the Towers. I like the private feel from the pics, while my hubbie would like to be in the middle of the action. Fort Wilderness sounds like a great idea we will have to check that out since we are going to be there for a week. I think May will never get here!

Like the previus poster said, the walk is no more than a couple of minutes AT MOST. I'm always amazed by how often posters complain about the length of the walk from the North/South Garden Wings to the Tower; and it's a covered walkway, so you won't get wet.

Alysmom1: Make sure to ask for a first-floor Garden Wing room. This room comes with a patio; the other views have standing-room-only sliding doors. If you get a view of Bay Lake, you'll enjoy the most secluded and serene vista in all WDW. You'll even have your own slip of beach!

The Tower is nice, but the peace of mind you get from stepping out onto your patio early in the morning with coffee to listen to the loons quack on the lake or watch the water launches depart from Ft Wilderness/Wilderness Lodge is incomparable. Enjoying a nightcap from your patio is pretty cool too
