CR Construction?

When we were at the CR in January, a CM talked about the wings nearest the MK (North Wing?) being taken down for a new tower that would be for DVC members. Has construction or demolition started?
Is there a time frame?

The demolition already happened and the construction is in the early phases. By January it will still probably be in full swing.

Disney is yet to say what this will be. It definitely looks like a DVC resort. the plans definitely do.

but Disney is hinting that it might be Contemporary suites. So the rich might get it instead of DVC.

here is hoping for DVC. wishing.

of course more than willing to share - make it both - suites for rich and DVC for us average workers.

no offense to anyone. but anyone who can spend over $500 a night on a hotel suite is way beyond my means.

For what it is worth, I called Disney today because I'm thinking of staying at CR in December and asked about the construction and was told that it is going to be used for DVC. I was also told that there are not proposed dates for construction as of yet.

Well We aren't DVC members either. Just as along as we can afford the tower rooms that is fine with me!
