My husband uses a CPAP for sleep... do we need to notify DCL or is he ok to just bring it in and plug and go?

If needed, they will give you a gallon of distilled water for you to use. Just ask your room host.

Guest Services will have an extension cord for a $50 deposit. Note that they will charge you on your bill if not returned prior to the last morning. Just return it, and they will take it off the bill.

CPAP users can bring their own extension cord, from what I understand. Although it may not be necessary. There are outlets next to the bed.

If you do notify them, they will provide a gallon of distilled water in your stateroom. You are not supposed to bring your own extension cords, so we have also gotten an extension cord from Guest Services when there was no outlet on the side of the bed that my wife prefers. If you don't return their extension cord, I believe they will charge your account $50.

Call a week or two before your cruise and the distilled water will be waiting in your room for you.

in addition to the distilled water, if you request in advance DCL will hold an extension cord for the CPAP. Otherwise they are available on a first-come. I haven't heard if they tend to run out. As PPs have mentioned, be sure to return the extension cord on the last morning to avoid a charge.

Enjoy your cruise!

You will only need the extention cord on the Magic and Wonder not on the Dream or Fantasy. They have plugs at the bed.

Yes call and ask for the water it is put under medical request I think. One time it wasn't there in the room and the room host didn't know what we were talking about had to call guest services and it came up. So call head much easier.

Even though the room host might say leave the cord in the room in the morning don't do it take it guest services, it can get miss placed and you will get charged for it.

The Magic and Wonder also have plugs at the bedside. They were added during their various room upgrades.

These pictures were taken on the Wonder last October:

Please note, they are two prong outlets.

Sorry, even for CPAP users, you cannot bring your own extension cord, but as noted above if you request it in your reservation, one will be waiting in your room without the $50 deposit being charged for it. This is personal experience on all 4 ships, and with cruises on Disney Magic in June and Disney Fantasy in October of this year for currency.

OK, thanks for the info.

Be aware that if you are doing a B2B cruise, you may end up with a gallon of distilled water in you stateroom at the beginning of each leg, which is way more that you need.

The last 2 cruises I took my CPAP & my own extension cord & duct tape (to secure the cord to the floor) & no one seemed to have a problem with it. I was supposed to have a gallon of distilled water waiting. It was not there. I went to Guest Services & it was there the next time I was in the room. Last cruise was on the Magic...I didn't noticed the bedside outlets added during the re-imagining until I had everything set up.

According to DCL policy, an extension cord is not allowed regardless of medical need. In reality, it may be overlooked, especially if packed with the CPAP machine. To be on safe side, I recommend contacting DCL so they'll have an extension cord held and no risk of having your own confiscated on boarding; the last thing you want is to be getting ready for bed the first night and discover it was removed from your bag. I also recommend packing the CPAP in your carry-on because I simply wouldn't trust the equipment to be safe in the jumble of luggage tossed into piles.

Enjoy your cruise!

As mentioned before, sometimes they forget to leave the distilled water in the room even if it is noted on your reservation. We have just called down to the desk and it has been delivered to us in our room.

Just off the Magic and didn't need an extension cord. Outlet is right next to the bed. Have been on the Fantasy...and can't remember if I needed one or not....I have a very long cord on my CPAP but for some reason I'm thinking I may have.... Call before your cruise for the distilled water. Nice an easy... Have a great cruise!

I think we unpluged the clock on the Fantasy to plug in our machine we didn't need an extention cord.

Good to know they can be plugged in by the bed on the Magic.
