Does it seem strange to anyone else that supposedly we will be able to book CP packages on the 26th, but no information as to restaurants or pricing has been released? Usually , there is quite a bit of lead time between the time the information is released and then later when you can actually book.
Could it be that we will only get information on the 26th? What do you all think?

That was my feeling when the date started going around, but the Disney Blog says June 26th for when we can purchase the dining packages..... (check the comments - June 15 at 3:23PM) I'm hoping they will post something tomorrow, but I'm prepared to make a reservation on the fly Tuesday morning if necessary. LOL

If my memory serves me right, every year Disney has been offering the Epcot Candlelight Processional Package earlier and earlier in the year. Last year it was in July.

I also recall some years not seeing pricing before calling to buy a CLP and just asking the Disney Castmember on the phone what is being offered and the times and the prices.

It seems to me to make more sense to post the prices and times and restaurants in advance instead of taking the extra time to for each individual guest to ask the same questions.

If Disney doesn't put out the information out today, maybe the DIS and other Disney websites will post all of the prices for those calling days later.

I don't know, I'm just guessing.

The only advantage (to Disney) of not giving us the restaurant info ahead of time is that it will ease the burden SLIGHTLY on the number of reservations being made in the same split second. People will have to look at the options and think for a second rather than 100 crazy DISers all jumping online at 6AM Eastern to book what they already know they want. This will stagger the "purchase now" clicks a tiny bit and hopefully keep the system from crashing. LOL

That makes a lot of sense to me, too.

The other advantage is that they still have the rest of the day to consider charging an even higher price! :lmao:

Too, funny.

The sad part? In spite of my laughing emoticon, I was actually serious..........

Good luclk to everyone tomorrow! I think we've decided to pass on the CP package, but I hope everyone gets what they want in record time!

I'm still undecided as to what restaurant I even want. I was going to choose Rose and Crown but then since I'll be using the DDP I figured maybe I should choose a restaurant that costs a little more? I guess I should make my mind up fast. What restaurants is everyone else choosing? I'd love one of the Mexican restaurants too but jeesh, it lays so heavy on me and dh's stomachs........and time? Is there any benefit to the first, second, or third program? Is it more awe-inspiring to listen to the program as it gets dark? Is it difficult to make it over to a good viewing area for Illuminations if you participate in the 8:15 show?
