CP-Do you guys wait for the narrator you want or book the rest. first?

We have gone to the Candlelight Proc. before and loved it! We can't wait for our kids to see it.

Last time, I booked the rest.(Le Cellier) first and whatever narrator we got, we didn't care. This time I think I want to pick the narrator and then whatever rest. is open (at least on the first tier) is fine.

What do you think? They start selling packages in August, right? But they don't announce the narrators until later, I think.

I would love to get someone like Jim Caveezel (spelling?) or Steven Curtis Chapman, although he is usually later in the month. We will be there 11/26 - 12/10.

One year I made sure I got there on a specific day because I couldn't go before hand and I wanted to see Heather Headley (Aida in Aida original cast) narrate and it was her last night. So yeah, I added an extra day to see her.

I also got to perform in the CP with my school a few years ago-we performed with Ben Vereen!

I usually book the CP pkg first and then hope and pray I'm going to get someone good!!! I got David Ogden Stiers in '03 and Heather Headley last Nov. Heather H. was so wonderful I just couldn't put it into words. She actually had tears in her eyes at several points. Her reading was inspirational to say the least. And David O.S. was better than I thought he would be.

Hey, I saw David Ogden Stiers in 2003 also! Since I went to the CP 3 times that week (can you tell I loved it?), I aslo saw Erika Dunlop. That year, I'd reserved the resturaunt first before they announced the speakers, and I think I'd do that again, because to me, where I eat dinner is more important. I saw 2 different speakers, and I didn't think either one impacted how much I enjoyed it.

We saw Jim Caviezel (Jesus from The Passion) this past year and thought he was amazing. If I remember correctly, I thought I saw the list of narrators before I actually booked. I made sure that we went on the night that Jim C. was going to narrate.

I would LOVE to see him. It would be great if the narrators were announced when the package went on sale and it would be nice if Jim was there the week I'm there!!

So did you book right when the packages were released? Or did you wait a few weeks?

I remember that I couldn't book when the packages were first released b/c we were out of town at a wedding. I did book a few days later and didn't have a problem getting the restaurant (Rose & Crown) that we wanted. We also booked the 6:45 show and ate at 4:30. It was kind of early to eat but we didn't mind.

ETA: It looks like we will be at Disney the same time as you. My dad loved the trip so much that he booked us another trip. We'll be there November 30th through December 4th!

Thank you! I thought people already knew the narrators last year when the packages came out. Years before, you'd book and then find out the narrators a month or two later. So I hope it's like last year this year!

When we booked CP last year we booked the day. When we found out Jim Caviezel was narrating we didnt even know who he was. He was amazing I couldnt imagine anyone doing the narration better. What a great surprise. I'm sure every one who anounces does a great job. The CP is just so inspiring

I'm booking the package according to my schedule of which night works for us. I'm sure whoever the narrater is will be wonderful, even if I don't have a clue who it is
