Cp and h&v - lunch

We are a party of 8 - 5 adults, 3 children.

We have never eaten at CP or H&V.

I am planning our MK and HS days so that we are there from rope drop until about 5 or 6pm. To break up the day and to give us a rest I have ADRs for 1pm at CP (MK day) and H&V (HS day). After lunch we will casually find us a spot for the parades. Then after the parades we will finish our ride list.

Also, the CP ADR is to celebrate my DS 4th birthday and the H&V ADR is for my DN. He is a big Einstein fan.

I have read mixed reviews on these meals. Has anyone been there recently? Is the food really that bad? How is the character interaction? Is the food basically the same at both locations?

We have eaten at Chef Mickeys for DINNER (not breakfast or lunch) and my DH did not like it at all. Is CP and H&V the same food?

we went to both of these restaurants this past September and always end up going there for some reason. We had hot food and plenty of options. At CP we had some really good foods for us and for the young ones......they had a blast with the characters too........Remember that all of us dont like the same places and some people do not like buffets at all...but with young kids and characters I think these are great choices for youngsters and also for adults.....
