I have a quick question for you- it says the duration is 3 hours- were you able to stay at the turtle center longer if you want?

I think if we had arranged it with our driver, we might have been able to. I specifically chose a later time so we could eat lunch on the ship before our excursion, so we didn't really have any more time before all aboard. I think you can contact Discount Excursions and might be able to arrange this.

Cozumel:
- Really liked Atlantis sub (not DCL)
- Disliked Dune Buggy and Beach Snorkel (DCL)
- Going to try Secret River (DCL)

Jamaica:
- Really liked Dunn's River Falls (not DCL)
- OK on Green Grotto (DCL)
- Going to try Dunn's River Falls w/ Bobsledding (DCL)

Cayman:
- Really liked and will repeat Catamaran, Kittiwake, and Reef Snorkel (DCL)

Castaway Cay:
- Meh on Glass Bottom Boat

How was the Good Hope tour and lunch were planning this tour for july

Did this itinerary 3 weeks ago with DH and DD11.

Cozumel: Cozumel Beach Break
Nice place, decent food. Had a lot of fun on the floating obstacle course (laughed so hard!) and took out a sailboat (included). Fun! But wish we had a longer time there.

Grand Cayman: Did this on our own
Reserved a Cabana on the beach at Royal Palms. Grabbed a cab there and back.
Really great day, wonderful food, service, beach like baby powder!

Jamaica: Tranopy Adventure
Awesome! Zipping, bobsled and chair lift ride. Really fun. A bit of a lineup for the bobsled but they entertained us with dancers while we waited. This meant we didn't have any free time on Mystic Mountain. Kinda rushed to buy souvenirs and eat lunch. Still an amazing tour though! Unforgettable!

Castaway Cay: Parasailing!
Also awesome and well worth the cost! After that just hung out on the beach and in the water.

Great trip and we enjoyed all our excursions!

Yes, lunch was very good. Jerk Chicken, Hush puppies, cornbread that was amazing, a refreshing punch (or water). We really enjoyed the whole tour.

Thanks, I will give them a call.

Your Cozumel experience sounds fun! Were you worried at all about the cab ride in GC? Were you rushed just because of the wait at the bobsleds?

Cozumel: have done both Mr. Sancho's and Nachi Cocum....both are recommended.

Falmouth: Horseback Riding excursion w/ Braco Stables. This was a highlight of our trip. Guided horseback trip to a private beach where you can ride the horses as they swim (not walk) in the ocean. The horses are very well cared for and healthy and the private beach was so picturesque it was like out of a postcard. Clean modern van picks you up inside the port area and it was about a 15-20 minute drive. Strongly recommend this excursion.

What did you dislike about the dune buggy in Cozumel?

It was windy, hot, and dusty. I guess that kind of goes without saying. The snorkeling was off a beach and not that great. I felt like we kept having to hurry up and here and there. There was also some pushy sales experiences. The worst part was when the brakes went out on our dune buggy in Cozumel traffic, and DH rear-ended a pick up and another buggy. Luckily, he had a sense from early on that the brakes were flakey. He had been going slow and trying to hang back from traffic, but people kept cutting us off. No one was hurt. They saw that we had pulled to the side of the ride and got us another buggy.

Did you book the Falmouth Horseback riding on your own ?

Does anyone know how much the water rentals are at Nachi Cocum? Specifically for paddle boards?

I'm just in the pre planning phase and was more curious about them since they are not included with the price. :goodvibes

Old emails said that the kayaks were $12 per person. I'd imagine paddle boards are somewhere in that vicinity.

I am scared to book outside of DCL. What if weather happens and we don't stop at that port? What if it's in a sketchy area, etc? Anyone face these issues?

I know a lot of the excursion sites I've been researching for my upcoming cruises say your money will be refunded if you don't stop at the port and all the ones I've seen also have guarantees to get you back in time or they will pay to get you to the next port. I would just look at the fine print and if you're not reassured, go with Disney or find an excursion/company that gives you reassurance.
