We're considering doing the Disney Fury Catamaran in Cozumel that seems to last for a few hours. Will we still have time to get a feel for Cozumel? I'd like the kids to experience some bargaining (ya know, it's all for the benefit of the kiddies!) and maybe see something that would let them know they are in a different country (whether that is architectural or whatever). What do you think?

Also, can anyone direct me to a site that lists when you get to the port and when you have to leave?

Thanks everyone!

Yes, you would have some time after the excursion to shop around town a bit if you want, but if you have early dining you won't have MUCH time to do that and get back to the ship to eat. We got back around 4:30 or so, I think, and with getting showered for dinner we didn't spend any time in town.

You get to Cozumel around 10:30, our excursion meeting time was 12:30, and the all aboard is 10:30 pm.

Thanks Michelle. I'm wondering if you can give your opinion on something then. It is our first family cruise, first time in Cozumel. I have kids aged 6 and 8 and we do have early dinner. Should we just skip the excursion and walk around town and maybe find a beach or should we do the excursion? We don't have any other excursions planned.

No, I wouldn't skip the excursion, we LOVED it! :) My daughter loved it too. I'm not big on the shopping in Cozumel, that doesn't appeal to me, so I can't help you there. You certainly could do one of the other beach excursions or do them on your own, but there is some beach time included with the Fury as well. If you like to snorkel or like just getting out on a catamaran I'd recommend the Fury. :)

We spent about an hour in town, doing some shopping. Got back to the ship to change, in plenty of time to meet for the excursion. If you are worried about the return time, make sure you are are on the first Cateraman, we were on the last one, and got back to the ship with only 15 minutes to get ready for early seating. And after dinner we still had time to go back to town for drinks and Carlos and Charlie's.

It was a fun excursion, I wouldn't miss it.
