We flew from Manchester airport to CDG, all uneventful landed at 12:15.
Once we arrived at CDG we then had to find our way to the VEA shuttle which proved to be difficult but we found it along with a very big queue. When the shuttle arrived there was a surge forwards with people trying to get themselves and the luggage onto the coach, we did manage to get on but there were a lot of people left behind waiting for the next coach, I will not use this service again.
After about 35mins we were insight of Disney, we reached the Hotel Cheyenne and checked in, it was 2:15 and I was hoping our room would be ready early.... No. We left our luggage in left luggage and then went for a walk around the hotel grounds to familiarise ourselves
and took a walk to the Disney Village using the walkway by the river.
At 3pm we arrived back at the hotel to check in and change (we had dressed for cold weather and it was surprisingly sunny and warm) We were given Running Bear 1193 which is at the far end next to the river, we had a view of the river which was nice.
The room had a few problem, the safe was broken and would not work, tried ringing maintenance but they couldnt hear us turned out the receiver on the phone was also broken and the thing at annoyed me the most the wall heater next to the bed rattled every time a vehicle went over the road bridge next to the building (this wasnt bad during the night but in the morning you could use it as a wakeup call)
We finally unpacked and made our way back to the village
and into the Park of DBF choice Hollywood Studios, as I had been before I let DBF choose what we were going to see first. He chose Rock & Roller coaster which had a 5min queue, brilliant.
Next he wanted to do Twilight Zone Tower of Terror another 5 min queue, I was the only one with my arms up on the ride photo which i found funny, this is slightly different than the Orlando version.
Next was toy story playland, by the time we had walked over here clouds had started to gather, there were more people in this area making the queues larger, Crushs Coaster was temporarily closed, slinky dog 20mins, parachute drop 30mins as we stood their contemplating if we should join the queue they closed the parachute ride, so we went over to RC Racer 35mins wait we joined the queue just as it started to rain lightly, then there was a rumble of thunder and over the speaker system on RC Racer came the announcement due to the weather RC is now closed. We decided to head over to Disneyland Parc, which was a bad idea, the parade had just finished and we were walking against most of the crowds which were leaving as we entered we went into discovery arcade and at the other side were greeted by torrential rain. By this point we were already wet but not soaked, we had no coats or jackets as it was very sunny and warm just over an hour ago we decided to head to Fantasyland and go on some of the rides which normally have big queues we rode, Snow White & seven dwarfs, Pinocchio and Peter pan. We then headed out of the park towards Disney Village for shelter and food, we chose Annettes diner which was yummy, we had the set menu of a burger, drink and a brownie each. Then it was back to the hotel for a warm bath and an early night.
