We were there in July and found restrictions, compliance etc. manageable. Just wondering how things have changed since then since we are going to again in early December. Have crowds increased? Are there new restrictions? The only thing that concernef us in July was that they were many people walking around eating without their masks on. Has universal instituted the same rule as Disney where you have to sit down to eat with your mask off?

I didn’t see a Covid related thread on this forum, so if there is one feel free to move me to it.

Good evening Rash I did a trip report after my trip in October. I touched on a Covid precautions in the park. Here is the info on the parks and water taxi. If you read the first page of the report it also talks about Resort precautions. I stayed onsite at RPR. RPR did a wonderful job with Covid precaution measures.

Hope this helps.

Yes, you have to wear your mask at all times unless you are in one of the U-rest areas or are sitting in restaurant eating or are stationed somewhere eating. There were TM’s stationed throughout the parks making sure people were wearing their masks appropriately.

The Parks are busier on the weekends and have been reaching capacity at times.

My recommendation would be to go during the week if you can.

If you have to do the weekend go in during early park admission if you are staying onsite. Get in and do what you want to do in the morning as far as rides go and see the shows and leave.

Staying onsite at RPR, HRH or PBH will get you Unlimited Express which will be a must on the weekends for sure.

You including Friday as a weekend? We are there Wed afternoon to Sunday morning. Thanks for the info.

We were there last Saturday and I found it to be more crowded than I expected and it was hot! Anyone who says wearing a mask "isn't that bad" is nuts if you ask me. I HATED it and had a LOT of trouble breathing in that hot air. The next day was perfect because that tropical storm was in the area so it was in the 70's, overcast and very windy so it blew cooler air into those God awful masks and made it very doable. I'll only ever go back when it's cold. I don't do heat at all.

We went for a few hours Sat night. Uni allowed far too many people in. We walked around all of Uni and it was extremely difficult, and many times impossible, to maintain a six foot distance. Some areas had a literal crowd with no distancing. We didn’t stay long because of this. It is not safe to be walking right next to people. This was my third or fourth visit since the reopen and I had never felt unsafe before. Previously, there was ample room nearly everywhere all day to walk while distancing- as the recorded message says guests “must” do.

For a variety of reasons we have canceled our trip. I appreciate the info from everyone.

Just back from a long weekend trip. We had been down end of July. There was definitely a HUGE uptick in crowds from end of July...especially on Saturday at IOA. It was definitely much more challenging to maintain 6 feet when walking through the park or in some of the shops. That being said, we felt all the COVID precautions in place from July were still there and being enforced this time and mask compliance was very good. We saw a few nose peekers, but staff was addressing constantly. Anywhere we were in for a period of time (queues, rides/shows, restaurants, etc) the spacing was easily maintained and fine. We still felt very safe all things considered even with the uptick in crowds.
