Hi! Has anyone with a family member who is a doctor used them to proctor am at home covid test? I know we could get edMed to proctor our tests on a video call, but my sister-in-law is a pediatrician and she lives nearby. Im wondering if I could ask her to come over and watch us take the tests? I was planning on just going to Walgreens 2 days before we sail but now they are charging for the tests.
Just wondering if anyone else had luck doing something like this or if we should just stick to edMed or Walgreens. Thanks!

From the DCL website:
Antigen tests must be completed using a proctored telehealth service and come with digital results that can be uploaded to the Safe Passage website.
In your scenario, the at home test results will not indicate that the test was "proctored".

I would say it's possible to use a family member IF they go through formal channels -- which may or may not be an option. By "formal channels" I mean that it provides a record of your visit and test that will include the details required to be recognized as an HCP professional. Whether or not your family member can do that may depend on their practice -- I could see a sole practitioner able to add family members but it may be more difficult with software and account within a group practice. But just informally sitting at your kitchen table watching you swab your nose won't cut it.
