My cousin got a five day trip to WDW for her retirement last week. We always go together so she wants me to go with her. She can pick any of the hotel on the monorail. The package is for her flight, hotel, and tickets. We are going to go in September and it just dawned on me that I wonder if she could get the free dining. I have an annual pass, but wondered if I could buy a one day ticket and get the free dining also since I would be in the same room. Does any one know anything about this? Of course, she has to book the trip through the travel agent that they bought it from. I was wondering if she should call the agent and ask her to find out for us. My AP actually ran out in May, so when I got the one day, I would just upgrade to the annual pass at that time. Do any of this sound possible?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I certainly know that I'm very jealous! Have a wonderful time!

P.S. - I always wondered why AP holders say they are going to purchase a 1-day ticket, but you just helped me find the answer to my question - it's because if you purchase the ticket, then you can get the dining plan, and if you don't you can't, is that right?

That's my understanding about the free dining, is that you have to have at least a one day ticket. They won't let you have it with just the AP. Also, I believe that everyone in the room has to have the same dining plan. Has anyone gotten the free dining when they booked the package through a travel agent?
Oh, by the way, I work at the same place, a collection agency.:surfweb: She and another cousin had been there for over 35 years. My other cousin got a 5 day cruise for 4. How sweet. Too bad I don't get to go on that one also:confused3 , but she's taking her daughters and the cousin that retired with her.
