Are there any coupons or discounts that a first timer should know about? We are going from 12/25-12/28 and are staying at the Embassy North. Our family is 2 adults 3 boys (2,4,5) and 1 girl (7). I have heard people talk about discount coupons for dining, and would love to know more.

Also, has anyone ever gone to Ridemakerz? I am thinking this would be fun for a birthday surprise, but would like to get some input. What about Studio Disney 365 makeovers? I think my daughter would love to do this as her Christmas present, but I want to make sure it is worth it.

Thank you all!

I am sorta new to this too so the experts can probably give you better advice. :) Most of the discounts that I know of come from being an annual passholder. Having an annual pass gives you discounts on food and merchandise. I do know that some restaurants will give you coupons if you get on their website. For example, if you get on Mimi's Cafe website and sign up for their "club" they'll email you a coupon for a free breakfast I think.

I don't know anything about the other stuff, but have you looked into Bippity Boppity Boutique (sp?) for your daughter? She is the PERFECT age for it and they do an awesome job! I'm dying for Sophia to be old enough for it. Sadly, she was 3 months at our last trip and will only be 1 on our next. LOL

I have taken my DS4 to ridemakerz several times. He loves it there. Its a lot of fun picking out the car and the different accessories for it. Plus they get to assemble their ride themselves with assitance from the staff. It can become fairly pricey but I find the product to be high quality. My son has one car that is a remote that is over 2 years old and its still in awesome condition.

I found a coupon online for ridemakerz where you spend $40 and get $10 off.

You can find the coupon here: http://anaheimoc.org/coupons

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

If you sign up for newsletters (email) to Mimi's they send you a coupon for a free breakfast. Millie's sends you a 50% off coupon for any meal. Red Robin gives you a free appetizer when you sign up for their loyalty card. Mimi's and Millie's are across the street from DLR.

I know there was a discount on food inside the parks awhile back but I doubt they will have it during the holidays.

Thank you so much! This site is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! I can feel the savings already!!! Do you need an appointment for Ridemakerz?

^^^ That is good advice. Signing up with places' mailing lists can get you offers. Being their fan on facebook helps too(many hotel around the resort do promotions on FB).

I post a lot of threads about special offers that Disney does. I get this information from the official Disney Blog.

You can see special at DTD in the link below.

*As far as the Dining discount from last year*
It came out on the 8th of December but was for the core Holiday dates. With the coupon with you could print from an internet page, and also, IIRC, was at the bottom of the Time Guide in the parks, you could eat at certain locations during off hours and get 30% off.

Also the current buy merchandise deal and get 20% off other merchandise deal has some details in the link below. Though it might be random if it prints out or if you get it only in certain locations.

No. It's a pretty cool shop and the cars are decent. The cars go up in price quickly because you go from a base model and start picking options.
