Cute story :cutie: and good thing they aren't related.

Couple With Exact Same Name Getting Married
You'd never think Googling yourself would end in marriage, but that's pretty much what happened to Kelly Hildebrandt and ... Kelly Hildebrandt, a couple who met when one of them searched her own name on Facebook.

"Girl" Kelly was at home in Coral Springs, Fla., with nothing to do so she decided to search her own name on Facebook and came up with one result -- "Boy" Kelly, who was living in Lubbock, Texas. Girl Kelly liked what she saw and sent him a little message. Boy Kelly also thought she was cute and the two began flirting online.

Boy Kelly eventually flew out to Florida to meet his dream girl. After a few months Boy Kelly asked for a transfer to Coral Springs, and the two will marry a scant eight months after meeting.

Girl Kelly's father is psyched that his daughter will get to carry on the family name. And don't worry -- after extensive research, "The Kellys" are excited to discover that they aren't distantly related. We can't think of anything more romantic than that.

My sister dated a fellow for a while with our same last name....a very popular Irish last name. Anyway, DSis never did like that AT ALL.

I think it is odd....google the your own name, start a relationship online, then meet and get married...good for them, though.

Still odd.

I'm not so surprised with names like Kelly, but you'd think they would have a more common surname. I wonder how they cope with the confusion.

I know a Dan & a Dani who are married, but I assume they didn't have the same last name before marriage. My son has married friends both named Ryan - only the girls name is spelled Ryane (pronounced the same, though.)

I know a lady whose 2nd husband had the same first and last name as her first husband.

I used to know a Kirk & Pat Kirkpatrick. I thought that was odd, but it is no where near as odd as the couple in the OP.

I have known two couples with the same last name that have married. But I have never heard of a couple with the same first and last name that have married.

I could never do that..it would be too weird.

What if someone calls the house and asks for Kelly...what do they say "the male or female one?" IDK..that would be just too weird for me to handle..haha
