When I went to request the video for DVC, it said they couldn't send it since DVC is not registered in my state. What exactly does this mean? Can I still request a tour by calling before I get to FL?

Also, can I request a specific guide when I set up the tour, or should I contact the guide to set up the tour (I was PMed some info a while ago w/ name and contact for a specific guide)?

TIA for the help. Everyone here is so full of great info!

You can take the tour in FL and you can purchase in FL. You just can't purchase from home because your state won't allow it. We have the exact same situation here.

If they ever announce CRV, I'll have to plan a special trip to WDW to purchase since NE won't let me buy from home. What a sacrifice! :dance3:

LOL...You're only about 50 miles away from me....Luckily I've already got the trips planned :), just trying to get my ducks in a row beforehand.

You cannot set up a tour before you go as far as I know. They cannot communicate with you in any way about DVC other than the type of response you already got. Setting up a tour would be a sales activity of the type that I would expect would be prohibited by law if they are not registered in your state.

It's not really necessary to set up the tour in advance, so don't worry about that at all. There are DVC kiosks in every WDW resort, every Theme Park and at DD. There is even a number to dial right from your room phone at all WDW resorts and the TV has a channel dedicated to DVC information.

You can easily set up a tour the same day you want ot take it and DVC will pick you up at your resort or at a Theme Park (and will bring you back after the tour too!)

Enjoy!
