This one is probably the dumbest......Will the limousine companies (Tiffany, Happy Limo, Fla. Tours) pick you up at any of the hotels around the airport. I see on their websites it says from airport to port.

If I do not use DCL transportation, (there are 5 of us, so it's probably going to be cheaper to get a shuttle van from one of the limo companies) will I still be able to check into USAIR at port after the cruise? Or is this only for DCL transportation users?

Paying more for DCL may be worth the convenience of the USAIR checkin at port.

Thanks for the help :)

I think the car services list the common places on their sites to give you an idea of the cost. It may be slightly different if you are picked up or dropped off somewhere else. I know when we went to the port area last year to our hotel, they mentioned it would be a slightly higher price to go to our hotel because it was a little farther down. Just call them and they will they you the exact price.

The buses can be convenient-we've used them- but you do have to wait. It is very nice to be picked up and on your way without having to wait for anyone else. You usually get to the port earlier
than the buses.

I'm not sure about the checking in for the airport after the cruise. We did this. It was ok but a long process. We had to wait about an hour or more to check in for Delta and then we had to wait for the bus to fill up. It was very hard to end the trip like this. It was nice not to have to deal with the luggage, especially since on the way all three of us got picked to be checked a number of times and they completely emptied our 4 suitcases in a random check. Personally, we take a car service and if I had known then what I know now, I would never have taken the bus and checked in at the port.

Good Luck!!

Thanks musicgirl!

Does anyone know if you can do airline check-ins at port if you are not using DCL shuttles to the airlines?

Being picked up at an MCO area hotel should be no problem! We use Happy Limo and have stayed at a variety of hotels in that area. We never know exactly where we'll be, since I always get my night-before hotel via Priceline (we usually only pay $25 to $28 for the hotel room). They have always picked us up from wherever William Shatner and the Priceline Super Computer have put us. :D
