I used a scooter for the first time in October. Only a few minor mishaps. I’m returning in May, but this time I will be alone. I’m going to Hollywood Studios. Are there any rides there you have to swap over to a wheelchair for? Like you do for buzz and Peter Pan in the MK? I can’t maneuver a wheelchair by myself. If there are rides like that should I try for a DAS pass? Also does anyone have any experience with the sun shades getting on and off the buses?

For Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller Coaster, you will either have to transfer or use the alternate entrance through the exit. They strongly discourage using the exit, so you would need to advocate why you would need it, this can be done at the attraction, no need for a DAS for that.

Some have said that this is also true at Star Tours; however, that has not been our experience, we were able to take it right up to the vehicle. Rise of the Resistance, you can take the ECV up to the final room of the queue and sometimes further, but even if you have to leave it before the final room, it is about 3 minutes before you board the ride vehicle.

Thank you! I don’t like any of those rides so maybe things will work out.

Then you should be good, Smuggler's Run has an option to take the ECV almost all the way into the cockpit, Mickey and Minnie's has a place to transfer, the shows (if they are running by then) are all accessible to ECVs, but do note that if you have a sunshade, they may require you to sit in the back even if there are accessible places in the front. Really there aren't a lot of rides at Hollywood Studios at the moment.

FYI, at Animal Kingdom, the only attraction I know of that is an issue is Flights of Passage, you can only take the ECV up to the preshow area, then need a wheelchair.

At EPCOT, Test Track is an issue, but again you can ask for an alternate entrance. That is the only attraction I know of that is an issue there.

At MK, Buzz does have an alternate entrance if needed, Peter pan, Pirates, Space Mountain, Winnie the Pooh and Story Time with Belle do not at present (although in the past there used to be options for Pirates, not sure if there still would be if you pushed the issue).
