I was just wondering if when you phone up to pre-book a restaurant if you can pay for it over the phone before you go. We're planning to pre-book meals for Plaza Gardens (tea party which I know you can pay for), Walts and Auberge De Cendrillon. I'm pretty sure the answer will be no, but thought I'd ask anyway, anything to save a few £££'s

Also when you phone the reservation number, do they speak English? Or will I have to prepare my French before calling? :confused3

I would really suggest you go for half board, same as paying in advance but you could stand to save quite a bit of money! :-)

There are loads of half board threads around that really helped me in fully understainding the HB options and convinced me it was really good sense and value.

No, you can pay for half board vouchers and "special" extras like the tea party but not others

Yes they do speak english so no need to worry

Yeah I have been swaying between this and the HB option. It just seems to get a good choice you need to get the half board plus which comes in at £50 a day for the family, £250 for our visit and that's just for one meal a day. I know it's expensive to eat in the parks, but we're not big eaters, so not wanting 3 course meals every day.

The 3 I mentioned are really the only fancy places we're interested in eating. We'd be happy with McDonalds/Sandwiches/Pizzas etc for the rest of the time we're there and after looking on the DLP food guide I think I could probably feed us all for less than that.

Does anyone know if you can use more vouchers than there are people? For example the meals at Auberge de Cendrillon are 55 Euro's for an adult, so for 2 adults 110 Euro's, can you pay with 4x meal vouchers at a face value of 25 Euros each?

I'm sure I've read somwhere that people have paid for Auberge with 2 vouchers, so I'd say yes, you can.

But maybe wait for a definite. Don't want to make any enemies. :rolleyes1

If I could do that it would be worthwhile I'm sure. I wish you could get them for just a few days instead of having to get them for the whole time you're staying. I would like to have a meal at the Rainforest Cafe and also the tea party which will be mid-afternoon and should mean that we don't want a huge 3 course meal/buffet, that's what's putting me off. Whereas if I could use more than one per person for the princess meal that would mean we had a free night to eat wherever

Yeah, my bf really wants to eat there, but we have such loong days when we are there (8am-11pm) that if we have an early lunch one day I'm sure we'll be ready for another big meal by about 9pm.
