couple of questions about the DDP

1. I read "All unused meals and snacks and the ability to use your refillable mug expire at midnight on your package reservation checkout date".

My question is : We are checking in Sun and checking out on Friday afternoon (5 nights)...so if we wake up Friday morning with meal credits can we use them Friday morning? Does the midnight refer to Thurs midnight before Fri or Fri-Midnight before Saturday? I am thinking the former but...not sure and my planning will be affected a bit. Not a big deal either way though. (Sorry if this has been asked before)

2. Can we use DVC restaurant discount if using DDP?

If the locations offers the DVC discount, you can use it on items not covered by the DDP. No discount on alcohol except with the TiW card.

I know what you mean, but that's the question. Technically "midnight" is a dividing line with no width, so..... Friday midnight could be taken as a bit after 2359 Thursday, and also a bit before 0001 on Saturday.
I think that's what the OP was asking.

ETA: I reread your answer and you did nail it down with "before Saturday"

We just went to Disney in January, and we had no problem using the rest of the dining credits on the day of checkout. It would be Friday night/Saturday morning at midnight. I'm guessing you can use it until 11:59pm on Friday night. Enjoy your trip!
