Couple of FD questions

We are planning to return to WDW in December 2015, and will need accommodation for 8 nts before our planned cruise. Our check in date will be 16th Dec and check out 24th Dec.
How likely is it that FD will be offered for those dates please, and do you experts think if it is, will be released May next year like it was this year?

We are thinking of staying at ASMu and then upgrading the QSDP to DDP. If I book a package now can I add the FD on when and if it comes available? Do I have to call to do this or can I do it online ( we are in the UK)
Or is it just better to wait to book when and if the FD does come online, and then I can just do it all in one go? I think I also read before that if too many resort rooms are booked that FD isn't offered - I don't want to be partly responsible for that!!
I think I also read that CBR is offered with DDP but is there usually much difference in price between CBR and ASMu with DDP when the offers are on?

Oh, and one more! What deposit is it for booking a package? We are 2 ad 1 ch and will want 10 day tickets.

FD was included for your check in date this year, so chances are good for next year. Granted, it feels like each year they're really tightening things up, so it's really hard to plan this stuff from the previous years. Being released in May this year was really early. It's typically later in the Summer. I don't know what to expect for next year.

If you book a package now you can add FD later when it's available. However, having the room booked already does not guarantee there will be availability with the discount. They may need to move you around to a different resort. If you're going regardless of FD being offered I'd book now to get what you want. If you'll only go if FD is offered I'd wait. To add FD to an existing reservation you'll need to call. Obviously, if Disney sees rooms are full they won't feel the need to offer a discount. Discounts are used to fill rooms.

You'll have to do the math as far as pricing goes. For us, it was always a few hundred cheaper to stay at a value and upgrade our DP instead of staying at a mod.

Deposit for a pkg is $200 with balance being due 45 days before arrival.
