Couple of Awesome Magic Kingdom Experiences Tonight!

My daughter and I had a couple of awesome/cool/rare Disney experiences tonight at the Magic Kingdom! First, we rode the People Mover and Space Mountain was down so we got to see it with the lights on. I actually rode Space Mountain with the lights on about 20 years ago or so, but haven't seen it with the lights on since then...

but the super cool experience.... we tried to time getting on the Astro Orbiter so we could see some fireworks while on the ride. We lucked into timing it so perfectly that we actually got to see Tinker Bell fly and land on the building while on the ride!! I thought that was pretty awesome and unique! Has anyone else ever done that??

I've always wanted to see SM with the lights on that sounds so awesome! Last trip I was lucky and ended up on Astro Orbiter for the fireworks. It was a awesome experience!! So magical!
Sounds like you had a blast! I'm jealous and can't wait for my trip!!

yep, it's been an awesome trip! lots of magic! first time with theme park view at the Contemporary, so we've watched fireworks from the balcony a couple times, rode 7DMT both day and night the 2nd day it was open, saw the very last Jammin' Jungle parade yesterday, took our first nighttime Test Track ride during Epcot EMH, and so much more! Memory Maker has been great, got TONS of really cool pictures with me and my daughter that I otherwise would not have been able to get without bugging a bunch of strangers to take pictures for us, fastpass+ and the magic bands have been great, no running around the park or getting up super early to try and get Soarin or Midway Mania, etc...

today is somewhat bittersweet as it is our last day in the parks, but we have Anna&Elsa FP, Be Our Guest lunch FP's, and MK is open till 3AM tonight, so we're going to take a nice long afternoon/evening nap and then blow it out with a nice super late night with no sun and no crowds!
