Counting Our Nuts Like Chip & Dale, a Financially Aware PTR *Update 4/17 Pg 62 *

Love the feathers! Do you keep them in and wash your hair normally? Do they take long to put in? They are so cute!:cutie:

I have to say I'm with you and Marc on your favorite rides in Tomorrowland! Tough choice!!:thumbsup2

And cute little furbabies!!!

They literally took two seconds to put in. I was amazed at how quickly it was. Then she just trimmed them to match the length of my hair. You can wash, condition, product, curl, blowdry, straight iron...whatever you normally do to your hair. I really love them. They are super fun!

Hi Leslie! I am finally making my way over to your PTR and I am all caught up! I so admire your choice to make this a "financially aware" trip. :thumbsup2 After our "extravagant" honeymoon, I feel that our next trip will need to be that way as well! :lmao: You're looking great by the way!

How cool! I'm getting my hair cut on Saturday, I may need to look into this! ::yes::

I saw the feathers on Good Morning America last week. It is such a cute way to wear one's hair. I don't know if sylists do this here yet.

The Teva's look good, I love my Teva sandals, they are great for rainy weather.

I love the feathers! I really want to get some just b/c I've been really wanting to do something different with my hair. I didn't know they could trim the feathers to match the length of your hair! I chopped my hair off back in June and feel like it is barely growing so I wasn't sure about the feathers. I think I'm definitely going to get them at some point.

Your furbabies are adorable. I adore cats but I'm so allergic to them...and my boyfriend absolutely cannot stand them so I have to live vicariously through friends who own cats since I never can

I love the feather in your hair! I didn't know you were able to get them in subtle colors too, that looks so nice! :goodvibes

Hmm...this is a tough one. I think I'm going to have to pick Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. That never fails to make me laugh "Florida...ah yes...the home of the Eiffel Tower". (Very close runners-up include the Peoplemover and Carousel of Progress though!)

Your kitties are so cute! I have a giant orange fluffy cat too, his name is Winston, and he has a lion cut right now, so he's not very fluffy anymore! :rotfl:

What a great idea, getting Disney CD's from the library, I would never think to do that! :thumbsup2

I love your new Tevas! I was thinking of getting the same pattern, either in white or purple...I like the purple better, but white would probably be more practical!

Love the feathers in your hair, they're so cute! :cool1:

Nice feather! DD had one put in her hair and it lasted 7 weeks through washing, pool time, etc. She loved it!

Hmmm. . . favorite Tomorrowland attraction. It used to be Space Mtn but bow that I am getting older probably Buzz or the People Mover. I was going to say Stitch as a joke but I know no one would believe that!!! :rotfl:

One large cat, one teeny head!

At Walmart today we bought Marc a shirt for the trip. $7.50! It will be perfect for our Hollywood Studios day.

:rotfl2:

you are providing me w/ my morning laughs today!

I requested some Disney music CDs from the library! I'm very happy with my clever way of saving money!

brillant idea, we have most of the classics CD's but I want more park music...even looked I itunes and didn't have much luck! we don't have a library card but i can aks my Mom to check out some for me...

I've also made a "sorta" trip purchase. I say "sorta" because I need a new pair of Teva Mush flip flops for the summer. The old pair I have, I have been wearing for about 2 summers and various Disney trips so it was time to change them up! So...I will wear them in January but I'm already wearing them so I'm not counting them towards trip expenses.

I did the saame thing for our Oct trip they are actually lime green ;) Clarks flip flops I loved them so much that i just had to start wearing them...but they have recieved a nice scrub and will stay in the closet now

While I was making my next hair appointment in early October yesterday, I started thinking. Only two more hair appointments until Disney. I'll have one in October and then one in January right before the trip. That thought makes me happy!

this also made me giggle...first the feathers cute! my DD Bekah has a purple clip of "hair" she adores it! great pre teen comprimise of Mom wants 3 inches lobbed off and she get's the hair clip :thumbsup2

I made my Oct hair appt/coloring and cut plus a pedi already too

And lastly because this isn't all over the place enough...I'm going to do another day for the 30 day WDW Park Challenge.

Day 3: Favorite Attraction in Tomorrowland

Marc: Carousel of Progress

He said Peoplemover was a very close second but he likes Carousel of Progress just a little bit more.

Leslie: Peoplemover

What is your favorite Tomorrowland attraction?

This week I hope to update on our budget and trip spending so far and also a challenge that I have started for myself. :thumbsup2

my DD Rachel would love that you picked the Peoplemover...that is her favorite ride...and I would agree :thumbsup2

here are two pixs from last yr of us on the ride:

speaking of trip budget...I had answered a budget Q on the family board about budget for a fam of 6 so that made me re-go over our Jan (and Oct) budgets so i could break it down again and figure #'s for savings...:teacher:

For my job, I have to be on call. Counting down to vacation I always say "I'm only on call for 1 more week before we leave!" :goodvibes

My favorite attraction in Tomorrowland is the Peoplemover too. I think its an underrated ride and I'm glad of that because then I get to ride it over and over without getting off! :thumbsup2

Nice to see your cats make it to this PTR. Cute photos.

I think I'd have to go with Buzz Lightyear as my favorite ride in Tomorrowland. I love that it has the same feel of the old fashioned dark rides but with a new interactive twist.

Great countdown! That picture of the Castle with the fireworks is AMAZING. And I love that you put a Slushy Coke on it! :goodvibes

Riddle me this.

What is it about having a Disney trip planned that induces this mania that makes you feel like you should have more than one planned.
What is your favorite land in Magic Kingdom? Show me your favorite picture!

I completely understand that "need". Hence my year of "1 trip" turning into three. :rolleyes1 So very NOT financially responsible. :headache: 2012 has to be slimmer.

My favorite land is Tomorrowland. I'm a geek, anything remotely techy excites me. I would love to see a drastic update to the land incorporating some actual technology too. Main Street is a close second!

Not to mention Casey's Corner of course in MK! :goodvibes

:teeth: ::yes::

What is your favorite Tomorrowland attraction?

I was going to comment on your blog, but haven't - LOVEEEEEEE the feathers! I might have to look into this next time I'm at a stylist!! They are adorable.

Your kittehs are so stinkin' cute.

Marc's shirt rules! :rotfl:

And my favorite Tomorrowland attraction is a tie between the Peoplemover and Space Mountain.

I have those Teva's! I think they match my Disney ink!

I kid you not, as soon as I saw this pic of LL's shoes-I thought of your ink!

Ooooh LL!! I love the feather extensions!!!! So cute! I have seen so many people with them lately and I think they are so cool! My hair is just too short for it:rolleyes:

I also love the cute pictures of your furbabies! Sully cracked me up!

As for my favourite Tomorrowland attraction....tough but I think I have to go with Space Mountain (with CoP and PeopleMover following behind respectively) - It's just so thrilling and it was also the very first ride I ever went on at WDW! And I love that they do the photos now too!:thumbsup2

No more pictures!
DSC01853.jpg

Cute!

I have all but the bottom left. I need to check into that one. Also, the two Greatest ones are so old and scratched, I need replacements. (There's a purple one, too - maybe they can find that one for you. Jill and I are ready for them to make some more in that line! :thumbsup2) I keep thinking I will get an Ipod and not fool with CD's any more, but I keep putting it off.

Disney music playing in the background really makes life happier. When I hear the first few notes of Soarin', I stop whatever I am doing and just sit and listen. :)

While I was making my next hair appointment in early October yesterday, I started thinking. Only two more hair appointments until Disney. I'll have one in October and then one in January right before the trip. That thought makes me happy! What weird time increments do you use to countdown until your Disney trips?

That's so funny! I totally do that with almost EVERYTHING! I put flea medicine on the cat yesterday & put the stickers on the calendar for the next three months. The last one is four days before our trip!!

Cute fur baby pictures. Our little "baby" turned a year this summer & he's 17 pounds!

Favorite Tomorrowland Attraction:

I think it would have to be Space Mountain for our family! :thumbsup2

I love Marc's shirt! Great find, great price! So stinkin' funny. ::yes::

The feathers look great! So do Sully and Ruby. ;)

My favorite ride? I'd HAVE to choose one per park but since we're talking MK, I'm going to say the PeopleMover. My memories of my Gram are strongest on that one and while I adore me some Pirates and love the HM and SM, I have to go with my heart on this one.

We knew the only way to make this Disney trip happen was to be aware of what we were spending. Too many times we haev planned things and then worry about the money, it can make for a very stressful trip!

How cool! I'm getting my hair cut on Saturday, I may need to look into this! ::yes::
Yes! Do it!!

I saw the feathers on Good Morning America last week. It is such a cute way to wear one's hair. I don't know if sylists do this here yet.

I think you should, they are a fun little touch!!

Yes but doesn't your boyfriend have the dog that acts like a cat? I think I saw that on facebook. Or am I thinking of someone else?

I love the feather in your hair! I didn't know you were able to get them in subtle colors too, that looks so nice! :goodvibes

Thanks. I really love my feathers. Not a whole lot of people at work have noticed so I think I choose right for subtle ones.

Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor is another good attraction, I just always live in fear I am going to be picked. :lmao:

Your kitties are so cute! I have a giant orange fluffy cat too, his name is Winston, and he has a lion cut right now, so he's not very fluffy anymore! :rotfl:

Sully had a lion cut a few summers ago and he HATED me and every minute of not having fur. He was pretty much miserable. He gets so knotted though that sometimes I think we should do it again.

I like the purples one too. I almost got those ones!

Nice feather! DD had one put in her hair and it lasted 7 weeks through washing, pool time, etc. She loved it!

:lmao: to Stitch being a joke. I told Marc that was what I was going to pick for his favorite attraction and he was not happy with me. :rotfl2:

I really love the peoplemover, it is so much fun and I love how it really can whip you around and you get that nice breeze on a hot day in the MK.

I really need to fine tune our budget now that I have everything set up. I just haven't had the time to do it yet.

:thumbsup2
That is a good way to countdown. :thumbsup2

I agree, I love being able to ride it multiple times in a row! Now if they would just let me take my slushie coke on board!

I am with Marc, my favorite is the Carousel of Progress!!!
:thumbsup2

Nice to see your cats make it to this PTR. Cute photos.

I think I'd have to go with Buzz Lightyear as my favorite ride in Tomorrowland. I love that it has the same feel of the old fashioned dark rides but with a new interactive twist.
I just haven't gotten excited about Buzz Lightyear but I think it's because I rode Toy Story Mania first and it just doesn't hold up to that. Oh well, I do enjoy it though!

Great countdown! That picture of the Castle with the fireworks is AMAZING. And I love that you put a Slushy Coke on it! :goodvibes

I did not take that picture, I found it online and decided to see if I could get a print for the countdown and it worked. I was very happy.

I really want a second trip but I don't see it happening. Instead I paid off another smaller debt. WOO HOO!!

I love Marc's shirt, I think it's funny.

Ooooh LL!! I love the feather extensions!!!! So cute! I have seen so many people with them lately and I think they are so cool! My hair is just too short for it:rolleyes:

Sully is ridiculous. He lays like that ALL THE TIME. Our hallway isn't very wide and he takes up the whole thing, I know one night in the middle of the night I am going to fall when I trip over him.

Cute!

I have all but the bottom left. I need to check into that one. Also, the two Greatest ones are so old and scratched, I need replacements. (There's a purple one, too - maybe they can find that one for you. I own the purple one so I had already had that music on there. I really thought I was clever getting them from the library.

Soarin' is one of my favorite tracks, I love listening to it. I can almost smell the oranges!

:thumbsup2
I am surprised not more people have chosen Space Mountain, I thought Marc would pick it but he said he wasn't a huge fan of that ride compared to the other thrill rides.

I love Marc's shirt! Great find, great price! So stinkin' funny. ::yes::

The feathers look great! So do Sully and Ruby. ;)

Well...we were talking just Tomorrowland so you can pick those rides on those days. I think our memories are very strongly tied to what rides we love.

I loved that the shirt was 7.50! You can't beat that!!
