My favorite is the apple struddle thing in Germany. I don't eat sausage but everyone else in my family does so we get the strussel for me! HEY I AM AN ADULT I CAN EAT THAT FOR LUNCH IF I WANT TOO!!!

LOL! Doesn't Germany have the Black Forest cake, also? That is one of my "to do's" on my cake list!

I loved the cannoli at Pinnochio's Village Haus. And if you want to include resorts, you can have a Dole Whip for dessert at Captain Cook's at the Polynesian.

Other than that I generally pass on CS desserts. None of them are really worth it, especially when you have a dessert at TS dinner and a snacky or two
I didnt realize about the Dole Whips though! Captain Cooks here I come!

The Apple Strudel with vanilla sauce in Germany is wonderful. It is so buttery and melts in your mouth. The portion is huge, unlike the prepackaged dessert you get almost everywhere else.
I am craving it right now!

The Seasons would get my second vote. They offer a huge variety of choices!

Funny, I thought we got a stale batch of those brownies at Casey's. They were absolutely inedible. We returned them and they took them back, no questions asked. No wonder.

Don't most places have the Ice Cream Bars to choose from? Do the kids get to pick a CS Dessert too? When we used the dining plan in 2005 they could get whatever but now that its been revamped do they still get to pick a dessert with their kids meal?

No, the CS places (at least not that I'm aware of)do not offer ice-cream bars as a dessert. Generally, the kid's are stuck with sugar-free jello for their dessert. You can ask the CM taking your order if you can substitute something else. It varies by CS location.

While I absolutely never need the dessert on the CS - I still want it - and that has been my biggest contention with the DDP. What one day works, doesn't the next. Example, last year we got the Haagen Daaz chocolate ice cream bar at ABC Commissary for our dessert. It was fabulous. Went back 2 days later to do that again because it was so satisfying. They changed the policy the day before - no more ice cream for the CS dessert. I know they can change the policy. Of course I'm not arguing about that. BUT, the dessert choices are getting so yucky. The peanut butter chocolate brownie at Pecos Bill was inedible.

Pizza Planet at MGM has the big cookies. I love the oatmeal raisin, but they also have sugar and chocolate chip. At least in January they did not have sugar free jello (yuck) so the kids could get cookies too.

I am so upset about tusker house! This is a must do for the chocolate cake! I am so worried Disney is going to change the adult meals like the kids meals. The same dessert at every CS. That would get old fast. I hope that is not the plan.

It makes sense to do things that way, even though it sure is nice to have fresh options. I imagine it costs more, too

I appreciate they are a business but if they continue to remove choices we will no longer use the plan. We are plannng on staying at the Wl in a Jr Suite for our Dec trip since they have access to concierge we are contemplating not purchasing the plan for this trip. With the cont breakfast and snacks in the lounge we can get by with one TS a day.
