Is there any good place to get a good sandwich quickly, either park or DTD? I'm thinking like Earl of Sandwich good!

I don't know what Earl of Sandwhich is, but I like the chicken sandwhich at Whitewater Snacks in the Grand Californian Hotel. It is pretty uncrowded most of the time and very peaceful there. They have made to order items and things you can grab from the fridge.

Riverbelle Terrace in DL has very good sandwhiches. They carve the meat right in front of you and they have a good toppings bar. It is more expensive than the WWS sandwhich, but very good and comes with sides.

:sad1: We do not have the Earl at our DTD. We stop by the one in WDW at least once when we visit. Sadly, sandwiches are an area where the counter service is lacking. They tend to be very dry and "bread-y." I haven't tried the sandwiches at Riverbelle yet, but you can read the menu and see what you think. You can also get a sandwich at Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA, but again, they are just so-so.

I would go for a baked potato at Troubadour Tavern in lieu of a sandwich, or go to a table service location, like Carnation Cafe. I do like their cafe steak melt sandwich. Mmmm...

DW was very impressed with the salad at Riverbelle, including a generous portion of carved turkey, so I suspect their sandwiches would be very good.

Btw, Earl of Sandwich is a counter service chain that has a location in WDW's DTD, and also in Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas (the closest to DL).

Thanks for that! I've actually heard people talking about the one in WDW before, and being pregnant all I'm craving this time are sandwiches so I really wanted to try one. I didn't know we had one here!

Tomorrowland Terrace has good sandwiches - sandwiches are on the left side as you face all the counters. And La Brea Bakery in DTD has good sandwiches.

Riverbelle Terrace is my favorite sandwich place at DLR. I've also heard great things about La Brea Bakery (in DTD) but haven't tried it yet. I get La Brea Bakery bread at costco sometimes though and it's really good.

It's not counter service, but I have to give a shout out to Storytellers Cafe in the GCH as well. My friend ordered a big, thick turkey bacon sandwich and couldn't finish it all. It looked delicious and she said it was quite good. They, of course, have other sandwiches on the menu, but that one stuck out in my mind.

Slightly OT, but just had to comment that when I was pregnant with my second, all I wanted was sandwiches, too!!! Big fat ones from the Deli. The funny thing is that my son wouldn't eat baby food - he went straight from nursing to little bits of sandwich and now loves nothing better than a big fat deli sandwich, lol.

I second La Brea Bakery - yummy!!!

Just a little correction... :) TT re-opened a few weeks ago after a long refurb and slightly changed their menu. All items are available at all windows. They have burgers, a grilled chicken sandwich, a mahi-mahi wrap, and a portobello veggie sandwich. Haven't eaten there yet, but perhaps that could be the next stop on the Culinary Quest. Hmmmm...

BTW, we also like the sandwiches at La Brea Bakery, and it's close to the entrance plaza.

No Earl here at Disneyland or even in California, closest one is in Las Vegas. Pacific Wharf Cafe has sandwiches on their sourdough bread (which is fantastic bread). Bakersfield Bakery and Main Street Bakery have sandwiches also. Ralph Brennan's and HOB at DTD both have good po'boys.

La Brea Bakery. First restaurant you see when you enter Downtown Disney after exiting the parks. GOOD sandwiches, but it's a TS restaurant. There is an express side, but the selection is not as good.

Also, Napolini has paninis (heh heh, that rhymes!). They will serve them either hot pressed or just cold. They are good too!

Jamba Juice has some really good wraps.

In the parks:

Pacific Wharf Cafe (DCA) and the Bakery in the front of the park have decent sandwiches.

River Belle Terrace has good carved meat sandwiches.

Pacific Wharf Cafe is my favorite; delicious, fresh bread with excellent cold cuts. Everything tastes very fresh. Simple but done right. :thumbsup2
