Could you be President or First Lady? Every First Lady I remember is able to control her emotions in public.
Watching Laura Bush today, standing there holding hands with President Bush during the moment of silence and maintaining dignity........ seeing Hillary Clinton at the WTC Memorial standing there and not crying.
I was crying like a baby off and on all day and I did not know anyone personally. I would have been a total mess at either one- totally embarassing as a First Lady. I think they should show emotion, but still have it under control. I am not good at that.
How do they do it?
Could you?

I agree with you wholeheartedly. My emotions are usually "out there" for everyone to see. But I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing. I look at it this way: at least people always know where they stand with us and there's no "hidden agenda."
