Could you answer a few questions

Once I finally hear from someone about buying into DVC. Will paperwork be federal expressed to me ay home? Does the paperwork include all guidelines and information? How long does it take to close on the deal? Is it pretty easy to get financing? Yada Yada Yada!

Just wondering. I was hoping that I would be able to close soon just in case my SO and I could book a few nights at the BCV when we are in Orlando for the FWF in NOV. Plus I want to make ressies for a family vacation for next August.

We just closed a month ago
it was anxious
as we sat awaiting all our paperwork
(still haven't recieved everything)
but as soon as we were in the DVC system (we called everyday to check) we made our ressies for Oct.
We thought it would be too close in timing
and we were right...BCV was booked up
but as everyone on this list says, trust the wait-list
we did and within 2 weeks we recieved three different confirmations each progressively closer to where we wanted to be
(wait-list does work)
When you paperwork arrives it does give you everything you need to know...
and remember the boards are always good for filling in holes and clarifying problems...

Are you buying from DVC? If you are, call and ask your guide to put you into the system and see if he/she can help you get a reservation for that time. When we bought over the phone our guide had us in the system and a reservation held for us. He did it while I was on the phone and I only had to call back two hours later after the system updated and confirm the reservation with Member Services.

See when you buy through DVC you actually increase teh purchased DVC point inventory. Your guide can put cash reservations on hold and then convert them to point reservations due to your point purchase. This doesn't work with a resale.

My guide called me this evening and I gave her my Deposit. She said she is going ot call and see if I can get reservations for Nov. If she can't get ressies at BCV she will try BWV or OKW.
I am doing the happy dance.
