Could this be our last trip to the World for awhile...Final Plans 9/11

This is going to be a FULL day and the one I am most looking forward to.
I wonder why? :rolleyes2

We will be at the Magic Kingdom by 7:45 a.m. because we have an 8:00 a.m. breakfast ADR with some very special friends:
ummmm… yea about that 7:45am. I'll have to text you if we are running late. We should be ok though… all 3 kids have been waking up by 7am for a few weeks now. :faint:

No, not those friends (although they are special too), but these friends:

Hey, I think I know those people! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

And my plate will be filled with this:

How come I see some of the plate in the middle? Rookie!

We hope to all stop and get some Memory Maker pictures with an empty Main Street before breakfast.
And this is why I hope to get there by 7:45. If we start walking over at 7:30 we should make it in time.

Oh, and about that memory maker…. we should talk about that. :smokin:

After breakfast, Tim and I were able to get FP+ for basically the same times (10 - 15 minutes difference...but within the time frame that we can go into together for:
Yea, that worked out really well. :thumbsup2

I don't know how long Tim and family are planning on staying...it might be the whole day since they only have a short time there with the cruise. Mark and I will probably go back to the resort to rest and swim for a bit and then, depending on Tim and when he makes his decision, we might be joining him, Mel and Juliana for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. If not, we will probably head to DTD to eat at Wolfgang's and do some shopping.
I think we planned on staying for most of the day. Melody mentioned that depending on how the little ones were doing, she might bring them back to the room for a nap. (She says that but I don't see her doing it. LOLOL)

The party is still up in the air… but I was thinking.. if we didn't goto the party, you could come to BLT after dinner and wee could watch HallowWishes from the TOTW lounge. I think they go on at 9:30.

Oh, and I got an email yesterday that Jetblue changed our flight time home. 1:45 later than what we had originally booked. SCORE!!! :rotfl2:

I got all the way to the end of your update and had to re-read the last few sentences. At first, I swore that I read it like you may be joining them on their cruise. :p I can totally tell that I've been doing entirely too much reading today. ;)
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Now that would be a surprise. :rotfl::rotfl:

Your day 4 plans sound like fun! Hopefully you get a great Photopass photographer so you can get some great group photos! Breakfast at CP sounds great. It is another place I have never been in Disney. I hope you all get to MNSSHP! It is my favorite party and I need to live vicariously lol!
MNSSHP is a favorite of ours too…. but the prices are getting a little steep. At least this is one where I could get a discount. $58+tax.

And that's awesome that you and Tim could get all of the FP+ to line up!
It worked out really well. :goodvibes

I'm joining in!

I just joined DIS & saw your link on the facebook page. If only you were going a little earlier- we are there from September 8th-14th!

I just started a pre-trip report too!

Excited to follow along- your trip sounds great and I love reading about DIS meets! Its exciting talking to other people who have the Disney obsession in common :)

Now I'm all caught up here as well! I'm glad that even though the severance package wasn't what you wanted, you're at peace with it and can move on and enjoy your trip.

You've got some great plans so far and I'm happy to see the love for Olivia's...since we're such OKW fans we've dined there multiple times and really love it!

I think you're going to love F&W, especially with the convenience of staying at Boardwalk, walking through the IG is one of my favorite things. The people watching at F&W is pretty fun, most people (even the tipsy ones) are in such good spirits that it's hard to be annoyed. Since you're not planning on going during the weekend, you should be just fine!

Hey, Tim, you're a couple of updates behind on the TR (just in case you wanted to know :lmao:).

I just found this! Didn't realize you were in the FB group! Now I have to catch up on this one.

Clare, thanks for joining here as well. :)

I got all the way to the end of your update and had to re-read the last few sentences. At first, I swore that I read it like you may be joining them on their cruise. :p I can totally tell that I've been doing entirely too much reading today. ;)

Lisa, that is too funny. I'm sure Tim and Mel would have thought I was some weird stalker if that had happened.

I got behind this weekend and I still think I'm behind on Day 3, but Day 4 looks like a winner. CP is my favorite and so is the stuffed french toast! YUM!

Maryellen, Day 3 is the day that I finally meet Tim after 6 years on the DIS knowing him. :) Love CP...can't miss it on Mark's and my annual trip.

And yeah to DIS meet FP's! :cool1::cool1: That's awesome!

I'm so glad he and I coordinated and could work it out.

Your day 4 plans sound like fun! Hopefully you get a great Photopass photographer so you can get some great group photos! Breakfast at CP sounds great. It is another place I have never been in Disney. I hope you all get to MNSSHP! It is my favorite party and I need to live vicariously lol!

I hope so too. I'd like to get some serious and funny ones as well as magic shots with the kids. Oh my...you MUST get to CP. I'm leaving MNSSHP all up to Tim.

Mmmmm, Crystal Palace for breakfast. Always a great way to start the day.

I personally can't think of a better way. :)

Okay, I totally just ate dinner, and I'm seeing the picture of your Crystal Palace plate, and I want those potatoes....... :lmao:

I love those potatos; but I love the puffed French toast better.

It has been a long long time since I've eaten at Crystal Palace, but the friend I'm planning a girls trip with loves Winnie the Pooh so I will be there again in the future.

Oh I'm so glad you are getting to go back to DW and to Crystal Palace.

And that's awesome that you and Tim could get all of the FP+ to line up!

It worked out beautifully.

YUM! CP!!! I really enjoy that breakfast especially prior to park opening. Sadly I am the only one in my family who likes it there. So I don't get to go often. :sad2:

Really? The only one in your family? I find that rather surprising...and sad. :(

Sounds like a good day planned. I love Crystal Palace for breakfast...

It's the best, Darla!

Crystal Palace is the perfect way to start a day at the Magic Kingdom :goodvibes

I couldn't agree more. What could be better than puffed French toast and Tigger first thing in the a.m.?

What an excellent morning!!!!!:hyper:

Thank you, Jeanette. It's going to be a blast with those beautiful kids.

Nothing beats an early morning CP reservation!

Nope; nothing in this solar system in my opinion, Sarah.

I wonder why? :rolleyes2

Once a smart***, always a smart***.

ummmm… yea about that 7:45am. I'll have to text you if we are running late. We should be ok though… all 3 kids have been waking up by 7am for a few weeks now. :faint:

Don't run too late; they won't hold the ADR much past the slotted time and they won't seat us until we are all there.

Hey, I think I know those people! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I sure as heck hope so.

How come I see some of the plate in the middle? Rookie!

Trust me that I will never be able to compete with you and Barry (remember the guy who used to do TR's on here?).

And this is why I hope to get there by 7:45. If we start walking over at 7:30 we should make it in time.

I'm sure we'll do fine. Tell the kids Miss Kathy is going to be there and they'll have you there by 7 a.m. :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh, and about that memory maker…. we should talk about that. :smokin:

Discussed and handled. :)

Yea, that worked out really well. :thumbsup2

Good thing we talked ahead of time...couldn't have worked out better.

I think we planned on staying for most of the day. Melody mentioned that depending on how the little ones were doing, she might bring them back to the room for a nap. (She says that but I don't see her doing it. LOLOL)

Maybe Grandma will take the two little ones back and you, Mel and Juliana will last?

The party is still up in the air… but I was thinking.. if we didn't goto the party, you could come to BLT after dinner and wee could watch HallowWishes from the TOTW lounge. I think they go on at 9:30.

Whatever works for you and you want works for us. We don't want to crowd you.

Oh, and I got an email yesterday that Jetblue changed our flight time home. 1:45 later than what we had originally booked. SCORE!!! :rotfl2:

That is awesome news!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Now that would be a surprise. :rotfl::rotfl:

But a pleasant one, right Tim?

MNSSHP is a favorite of ours too…. but the prices are getting a little steep. At least this is one where I could get a discount. $58+tax.

DVC discount?

It worked out really well. :goodvibes

Yes indeed.

I'm joining in!

:welcome::welcome: Lauren; thank you for joining.

I just joined DIS & saw your link on the facebook page. If only you were going a little earlier- we are there from September 8th-14th!

Oh, that's too bad that we will miss you by just a few days.

I just started a pre-trip report too!

Can you post the link for your PTR? I'd love to join. Or just give us the title.

Excited to follow along- your trip sounds great and I love reading about DIS meets! Its exciting talking to other people who have the Disney obsession in common :)

I met my best friend here on the DIS. I will tell you that these DIS friends are the best. They have been there through my cancer, my father's passing, my son's wedding...good and bad, they are always here for you. Where in Illinois are you located?

Now I'm all caught up here as well! I'm glad that even though the severance package wasn't what you wanted, you're at peace with it and can move on and enjoy your trip.

Jayne, there is a time when you just have to say the heck with it and move on. We are looking forward to our Vegas and Florida trips. We'll worry about a new job when we get back.

You've got some great plans so far and I'm happy to see the love for Olivia's...since we're such OKW fans we've dined there multiple times and really love it!

LOVE OKW and LOVE Olivia's. If I were ever able to buy DVC (we had hoped to this year until my car got totaled and then it turned out a good thing with Mark losing his job), I'd love to own at OKW.

I have to find the menu and print it out. I want to check things off before we get there. Thanks for the ide ato people watch...we will be sure to do that. :)

We don't have any specific dates for the girls trip, but we have a rough budget and we're working on saving up now. It will be sometime after February next year so my parents can help out with the boys after they retire.

Oh my.. this is going to be one trip report i am really looking forward too!! You guys are going to be SO MUCH FUN!!!! Oh i hope you all go to the Halloween Party!!!

plans are looking great! you are going to have so much fun together!

Tim - love the video at 1900 Park Faire...the Mad Hatter was totally crazy! loved his interaction with Pooh too!

okay after seeing your plate of food at CP we are going to make it there in April! we want to try different restaurants this trip since we don't know when we will be going back.

getting to watch the fireworks from Top of the World at BLT is awesome! the lounge is great and bonus...no crowds to fight on the way out!

We will be at the Magic Kingdom by 7:45 a.m. because we have an 8:00 a.m. breakfast ADR with some very special friends
Looks like a fun way to start the day... with both sets of friends.

After breakfast, Tim and I were able to get FP+ for basically the same times (10 - 15 minutes difference...but within the time frame that we can go into together for
Great job! :thumbsup2

now Anna and Elsa are separate meet and greets
What??????? :confused3 Why can't they leave crap alone??? I can't keep up with all these tweaks to the system.

That's amazing that you have made friends here that have been there for you through all of that! It's really special.

I am sort of from all over the Chicago-land area. Grew up in the South Suburbs, after college lived in the city, and now I am living in the North Suburbs of Chicago!

I am not sure how to post my trip report- but let me give this a try! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3308246

I'm not sure how to give it a name rather than just the link but it should work!

Really? The only one in your family? I find that rather surprising...and sad. :(

Ok, so maybe I exaggerate a tad. ;) I am the only one who would choose to go there. The guys actually don't care for it because they are not fan of buffets in general (except Boma...Boma they like). Kira attempts to avoid not so much because of the food choices but because the atmosphere is a bit much for her. She has had one too many challenging experiences there. Zoe is the only one who I would say doesn't mind it (well, and probably Josh...but I have only traveled with him once). Does she like it? :scratchin I think Zoe is just happy to do whatever anyone wants to do. She is pretty easy going. The one area that she is more picky about though is food... so while I think she doesn't feel drawn toward CP, I do think she probably likes it well enough or I am sure she would let me know. :goodvibes

Sounds like a great morning! I have yet to eat at CP for breakfast. I'm fixing that come December with an early ADR. I'm excited!

What a fun day you have planned there. I can only imagine how much fun the conversation will be at breakfast. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun stories after your day together. :thumbsup2

Thought I posted this before but I see it's not there so I will do it again.

So very excited to get to meet you, can't wait!!!!!

We got home yesterday late afternoon and made it home from the airport on the south side of Chicago to our house (after waiting an eternity for luggage) at around 5:00 p.m.

Unfortunately, Vegas sent me home with a nasty summer cold as a souvenir...stuffy nose, coughing my head off, sore throat.

I have a lot to catch up on here and will get to responses and hopefully an update soon.

Ugh on the cold. Doesn't it know what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas?

Hope you feel better soon!

Jill in CO

Welcome home Kathy! I hope you are feeling better soon.

D~

Hey, Tim, you're a couple of updates behind on the TR (just in case you wanted to know :lmao:).
OF course I am. Aren't I always? :rolleyes1

I hope so too. I'd like to get some serious and funny ones as well as magic shots with the kids. Oh my...you MUST get to CP. I'm leaving MNSSHP all up to Tim.
Still haven't made a decision about this….. :rolleyes1

Tim - love the video at 1900 Park Faire...the Mad Hatter was totally crazy! loved his interaction with Pooh too!
It was hilarious. Probably our best character interaction ever. :lmao:

getting to watch the fireworks from Top of the World at BLT is awesome! the lounge is great and bonus...no crowds to fight on the way out!
I'm looking forward to at least one night up in the lounge. pixie dust:

Sorry you aren't feeling well. Hopefully you left with more money you went with- that would make me feel better anyway. :scratchin
