Could this be our last trip to the World for awhile...Final Plans 9/11

I was able to get a pretty decent car rental price for our entire 16 days, so we will pick up our rental car (although I'll still be looking for a cheaper rate) and stop at a grocery store and get some things to have in the room (cereals, snacks, water, etc.). Then we will drive to Animal Kingdom Lodge and check in. By this time our room should be available:

This reminds me that I need to start bidding on priceline for our car.

What a great start to the trip! I also LOVE sitting on the balcony looking at the giraffes. Nice relaxing evening followed by a leisurely morning! Love that.

But you're going to need more coffee to stay up that late!! Can you get a press pot to go? I guess you could try to stop at starbucks.

I'm really excited we're going to try Olivia's in December! Do they serve Turtle Krawl's in the restaurant?

I think those 3 will be our first choice for FP+ on our first MK day too!

I forgot to mention that I'm sorry about the lousy severance deal, but very glad that you can now move forward and be at peace with it.

I love your plans! While I am not sure that getting up that early is "taking it easy" the plans sound wonderfully relaxed. I also am excited for your dinning choices. I have never been to Kona... but will in October. Then Olivias... I do like breakfast there. Dinner is good too?

Sounds like a lovely "sleep in" day. I agree with you 100% that Olivia's has great food. We had dinner there (we kept an eye out for you guys) and it was absolutely delicious.

It's not a real sleep in for most people, but for me it is as I'm usually up by 5:30 or 6 every day at Disney...I can't sleep. I am so happy that you enjoyed your dinner at Olivia's.

When we started our ptr we were goinig in oct but we moved it up.........lol we have changed resorts like 3 times ......and even added on one day at AoA just recently.........sorry for the confusion.

I haven't been on he Dis much lately. Since I don't have a trip in the near future, it makes me sad. But I love your reports and will try to keep up. BTW I do try to think of a way to get down there before 2016.

Sounds like another nice relaxing day.
I never really used pm EMH before, until our last trip, my boys are 9 and 6 now and they kept me out all night, lol. We had never gone on so many rides in such a short time period, so I really love your plans to take it easy all day and then hit MK for PM EMH.
And two yummy meals planned, neither of which I've eaten at , really want to try Kona soon.

I used to love EMH; the last few have been a little bit more crowded, but I think resting all day is a better way to approach it. Thank you. I hope you get to Kona soon...you'll love it (either meal).

Trust me, the only way we can stay out until 1 a.m. is if we have a "relaxing" day; 10 p.m. is late for us too.

Yes; I figured beginning for relaxing and then finish strong as we have lots of time for relaxing again on Marco.

Well....slight change in that. Our attorney wants to make one phone call and see if he can at least get them up to us receiving what they offered "after" taxes. If we accepted what they offered and then took taxes out, it's even more insulting.

Taking it easy is more not running to a park in my case. And we will have been to bed early the night before. I'm so glad you are going to Kona. I like Olivia's for breakfast too; dinner is outstanding.

When I first started looking, it was close to $600. The first one I booked was $525...so I've come a long way down since then.

It's Sunday, the sun will be shining, Mark will be getting ready for the day, and I'll be on my balcony drinking my morning coffee watching this:





We will then hop in the car and head here:

We are for the first time dining at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast to see Alice, the Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger (especially Tigger).

After breakfast, back in the car and we will drive to Downtown Disney to do some shopping. I never got the kids their ornament for their wedding so I want to get that an get it engraved with their wedding date on it. I'm sure we'll spend plenty of time at Basin, World of Disney, Goofy's Candy, etc.

Oh, and Mark will try on a couple of these too I'm sure:



We will then head back to AKL for some more pool time (Mark LOVES his pool time). I plan to swim with him a bit too, but I also want to go here for awhile:

Depending on how crowded it is, we may stay for Illuminations (we aren't big fans so it is not a big deal to us), but this is the first weekend of F&W so not sure what the crowds will be like on a Sunday night. We will be back for F&W another day to sample the booths.

That sounds like a great day! I am with you on the "No Go" on Mission Space. I have done it and I do not like it. The first time I went on it I had a panic attack because I was so closed in. I did however go on it last summer with DS11 just to prove to myself that I could. Ummm, did I mention that I took a Xanax an hour before to help me? It helped but I am done with that ride.

I love the Rose and Crown. I usually eat the Bangers & Mash. Last Christmas when we went they would not let me get it for dinner. They do however have it back on the dinner menu now though. So their Scotch Eggs are good huh? I have yet to try one. I will have to make it a point to get one next time we are there.

I had the same reaction as you and was sick for an hour or two after. I don't think I could even do it with Xanax.

Mark has had the Bangers & Mash (I usually have the fish and chips). Mark loves the Scotch Egg as does another DISer who isn't on here much anymore and just had it yesterday).

I'm here! The plans sound great so far. I love both AKL and the Boardwalk, so you've got some great resorts planned for this trip.

While I'm unhappy that the severance for Mark's job was so horrible, at least you have some of that stress put to the side.
