Could the Dream Not Return to PE after 2026 Europe ?

I posted the other day about a survey I took about the Wish. Later that day I got another survey that had general cruise questions and specific ship questions. After the beginning part almost all the rest of it was related to the Dream. Most of the questions were centered around booking the Dream and if it was something I would be looking at in the near future. I wondered what had prompted this amount of questioning on the survey and then looked at Florida residence rates out of Fort Lauderdale for the next couple of months and was amazed at many sailings were listed at crazy low Florida Resident rates for the Dream. For example: a number of 3 night HOTHS Verandah at $1500.
There were a few low $$ rates even for July still available. I’m wondering if the bookings are so soft now for the Dream what will they be like once the Destiny is launched in November. It made me think is it possible that Disney won’t bring the Dream back to PE after next summer season.
What do you all think ?

If it doesn’t, that could be one reason why the next release is taking so long.

However I think they need two ships at PE to fulfil their contract for the port as it requires them to have X amount of guests per year. Unless the Magic comes back to PE and the Dream goes elsewhere.

DCL I believe needs one there year round and they have to hit 750,000 passengers annually. They have the right to a second ship to be there as well - I believe the idea is seasonally.

My assumption had been the Dream would be the "seasonal" ship and the Destiny would be there year round but who knows.

I prefer the Dream to the newer vessels, but our next sailing is on the Wish because it came out cheaper than the dream did for the weekend we needed to travel....

Does anyone know the number of ships DCL is contracted to have at Port Canaveral?

Also I think the Dream is going to STRUGGLE to fill this Jan-March. No themed sailings (no MDAS), Doing 3/4 Nights in the Bahamas, out of Ft. Lauderdale, with the shiny new ship right next to her.

They could have done 7 nights and I think she would have had an easier time filling because there is a large group of DCL vets who do not enjoy the Wish class but will not sail anything less than 7 nights. Why they went with the Fantasy having Pixar Day back and nothing on the Dream which is further from the parks, I do not understand at all. Fantasy they might have had an easier time selling short sailings on to tie into a park visit but she has 4/5 nights with Pixar on the 5 nights... go figure.

A minimum of 216 calls per year. So if you figure the Treasure accounts for 52 of those and the Wish 104. You still need a 3rd ship accounting for another 60+ per year.

I’m thinking they need the Dream to do 3/4n since she’s only there seasonally and if their target is 750,000 per year that’s over 14k pax per week.

However if they need one ship doing 3/4 and the other doing 4/5/5 why didn’t they get the Destiny to do 3/4 and the Dream do 4/5/5? People still would have booked that to sail the new ships. I agree they are going to struggle to fill the Dream Jan-Mar, but they don’t have an option for a day at sea with the 3/4n itineraries really. They already didn’t do MDAS on the 4 nights from PE.
