Could someone tell me how to transport 3 ECV users?

I thought I remembered someone saying that there was a number to call for another bus? I know we may have to wait longer but I was wondering if these buses can take 3 ECV's or will it be in addition to the regular bus? We are a grand gathering of 11, with my uncle, who is a quadrapalegic, my Aunt who has neuropathy in her feet, with numerous other health problems, and my dad who had a tree fall on him 2 years ago, and broke his back, had a flail lung, broken pelvis, etc. I'm just not sure how to get everyone from one place to another, and I need to know as I feel like I'm the one watching out for everyone. Anyone have any suggestions on how to keep everyone together?

I don't know of any busses that can carry three ECVs. You might have to plan to use the WDW bus in addition to a special bus. I have heard of folks requesting a bus to transport them to the parks when they had more than one ECV but I don't remember three. I think the front desk arranged it. I hope someone with more info posts.
Good Luck.

you know I haven't seem those special vans in a while. but I am sure Disney can arrange something.

even the new buses are only 2 ECV or wc.

call guest services now and start the process. are you using DME to get by and forth to the airport? I would start on.

We were a group with 3 ECVs a couple of years ago. Most of the time, we just waited on a second bus. 9 times out of 10, the driver would radio that a 2nd bus was needed ASAP, and an empty bus would arrive right away.

Sometimes, (although this probably won't apply in your situation) if the bus was empty, the 3rd ECV which was smaller than most of the gargantuan strollers, we just folded it up, took off the seat, and slid it in on end behind one of the strapped down ECVs and sat in regular seats.

Might I also suggest you think about not having all 11 people stay in the same group all together all the time? Many here have had some pretty hairy stories about dissatisfied family members on those occassions.

Here is what I did. I made a brief outline on one sheet of the parks. Yeah, I know it was hard to break down but MK is pretty child oriented. MGM is movie oriented, AK animals and Epcot were easier. We chose groups the evening before based on what each was interested in doing and I had made PS for dinner at a nice restaurant each day. With the hoppers, they did their own things then met up for dinner and we had a ball talking about the day's events. It worked very well for us and if anyone was getting tired of the company, they could easily change it without hurting anyone's feelings. Best trip we ever had.

I also made index cards of the hotel number, everyone's cell phone number and the restaurant information for everyone to have in their wallets so if they needed help they could call. This might help your situation with the ecv's.

There is no reliable way to get that bus all the time. You are not allowed to call ahead for reservations and if you call when you need it, it may be in service elsewhere or not in service at al. We regularly (several times a year) have three chairs in our party and haven't found any way around it. :(

Thanks everyone for the replies. Looks like we'll be winging it...lol. RNMOM, great idea about having the index cards with all the info on it. Think I'll work on that tomorrow morning. Thanks!
