Room is booked, flights are booked, registration for the run is complete. I'm in (maybe over my head, but I'm in). DD16 is doing it with me and we're excited.
Now, time to make some tutu's and continue training - and by "continue" I mean step it up!
I started out walking a mile every other day, and this week moved to 1 mile every day. My speed is slow (about 18 min/mile). Breathing is getting easier but I am walking as fast as my legs will take me. So I'm going to extend my distance for the rest of the week, and on the weekend start a walk/run/walk mile on the track.
The weather here has been AMAZING for training outdoors so I'm hoping it holds a little longer. I have indoor track options and I have an elliptical here at home, but nothing beats the outdoors!
I'm so excited that my body is responding well to the training!
