I have some cottage cheese in the fridge. I was going to have some now but it has "June 17" as the date on it. Will it be safe to eat? :)

Personally I never thought that cottage cheese was safe to eat.;) :p but that is just me. The boys love it. I don't think there would be a problem eating it. Sniff it. Ours never last til the exp. date.

Also if you turn the jar upside down in the fridge it helps to keep air out and keeps it fresher. Its never lasts that long to use that little tip so let me know if it works.

As long as it tastes okay, it will be safe. Dairy is usually a "sell by" date anyway and then it is good for 7 days after.

and as long as it has been refrigerated .....no problem........when our grandson was about two years old......we would ask him what restaurant he wanted to go eat at......(if it was his turn to choose) and he would say......the cottage cheese restaurant.....it was a salad bar ....could you tell.......anyways....nothing like cottage cheese on saltines for a snack......
