Cot in Value or Mod?

Has any one tried to fit a cot (actually a single airmattress on legs) into one of the mod (CB) or Pop? We are trying to do this 2nd trip of the year for under 1000.00. We already have our AP and we know from last week that the van used 320.00 in gas. DH will not fly in until later so there is 100.00 That leaves 580.00 for a room for 7 nights value season. The kids are DS14 and DD 9 so they really need seperate beds. We were in AKL in June and realized that even if we had brought our cot that there was no where in the room for it. We have found a condo off property but I really prefer to stay on-site. Any chance that WL or Contemporary would get low enough?:teeth:

Either POR or POFQ have rooms with a trundle bed. That might work for you. Cot in a value would be tight.

Does Disney provide roll-away beds for the moderates?
We have a Boy and Girl, and they don't do well sharing a bed...
Will Disney provide (at a cost i'm sure), a roll away so that they can each have their own bed?

The Alligator Bayou section of POR has trundle bed rooms for an extra $15 a night. I do believe you can get roll-aways at the other moderate resorts (and I believe the Values too) for $15 per night (assuming occupancy limits are adhered to).

Wilderness Lodge rooms are the same size as AKL, you can request bunk beds but they are not gauranteed. CBR would have the most room, but even then it will be a tight fit.

disneydebi,

We also have a boy and girl who do not sleep well together.

Since we had 2 adults and 2 children in one room - no intemacey (sp?) was going to occur on this trip, so our sleeping arrangements were husband/son together and wife/daughter together in the second bed.

A cot would take up way to much room, not to mention the expense.

No actually that is incorrect. The values and moderates will not provide a roll-away cot:(

The only moderate that has this option is POR in the AB section and for the extra $15 per night.

Only other options are to get bunk bed rooms at AKL or WL but then it will cost more too and as previously mentioned, they won't guarentee you the bunkbed rooms or the Jr.suite at CSR - but again I'm sure if will cost a little more.

We had a roll away for 1 night at POFQ in May. DD was sick and I didn't want her sleeping with my other DD. The CM said it would be $15 per night, but they ended up not charging for it. There was room for it by the door, I squeezed it next to the bathroom since she was sick and I wanted it as close as possible! You would have to fold it up during the day. I would just bring a twin blow up matress, I think you could squeeze it in, even at PC by the door, and then just stand it up during the day. Have fun!

I stand corrected then - however, I think they made an exception due to the fact that your dd was ill and wouldn't want to make you have to move because that is not the norm to my understanding. I don't think they would allow you to book any of the resorts w/a trundle bed from the start other than POR AB. Although, I could be wrong:confused:

Scoootch,

I think the issue is room occupancy. If you want an extra bed for a 5th person, then it's AB or nothing. But if you're only going to put 4 in a room, but have a need like the OPs, then they do have a limited number of roll-aways for $15 a night.

Hmm...you're probably right Geoff_M. See that, you learn something new every day;)

and are solving it by booking two rooms at pop century, requesting connecting... the kids can each have their own bed, bathroom and tv and it was less $ than a mod w/a rollaway (and yep, they do offer them 'cause we had one when we stayed at cbr in '01) or a deluxe w/daybed... we booked our ressies in two parts, dh/ds as one ressie and dd/me as another, it was less than four in a room and add'l room only... about $250 less!
