We will be in WDW on the 31st. Should I or shouldn't I bring costumes for the boys? We are planning on AK in the morning and Epcot in the afternoon for the Ice Cream Social and then touring Epcot in the evening.

I was even thinking of going to the in-laws that night, but wonder if the people in the Thousand Trails park will have something for Halloween.

Can you tell I've never been away from home on this one????

Thanks all!

It's been a couple of years since I've been there, but Downtown Disney always had "trick or treat" in the stores. They would hand out candy and characters would be around. There was also a costume contest.

Sea World also did a very nice event the weekend before Halloween.

I'd vote for taking them. Otherwise the kids might feel like they're missing something. One of the resorts we stayed in off-site also had a Halloween party.

I would take them with you. I know they have trick or treating at the Boardwalk if that helps you out any.

Have a great trip!

I would bring costumes.

If you plan on spending the evening at Epcot, you could walk over to the Boardwalk. They had trick or treaing and events there last year. Downtown Disney also had trick or treating.

asked the boys today what they would want to be. Then we looked at patterns. Ian wants a purple dragon (he plays a video game called Spyro) and Jon wants to be Buzz again.

So tomorrow we're off to the fabric stores. Oh joy. :)

Real Quick ~ we were there for Halloween 2002 & it was HOT!!! Luckily DD 1½ was Lilo in a bikini top & grass skirt, however my nephew had a $$$ Steelers Football Uniform costume & barely got to wear it because it was so hot! Also, I would say there were probably less than ¼ of the kids walking around during the day at the parks in costume, probably for this reason, a majority of us need warm costumes for nightime Trick-or-Treating at home, however Disney this time of year is usally pretty warm during the day. Just a thought ~ may want to keep it light with room to layer underneath if needed.
Have a Great Time!

But living here in San Antonio, well, I've had to rethink the material for many items, costumes being one of them.

The Buzz costume calls for felt, but I'm thinking a very lightweight cotton. Now that blasted dragon is asking for satin! Yeah, right!!!! Again, I"m hoping cotton will give the same look. I'll know once I drape it all over the place and see how it holds up.

Wish me luck.
