I was wondering if almost everyone dresses up for MNSSHP, even the adults. I am wondering becasue this year, Oct 2nd  will be our first party and DH and I are not sure whether we want to dress up, of course our DD is. Just wondering if we would be pretty much the only ones not dressed up, or if a lot of people don't. Thanks for the advice.

Also leave in 16 days and I am going crazy.. :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:
Cannot wait to leave, but it is getting closer so lets do the bananna

And we (my 3.5 yo dd and I) will be dressing up as Minnie Mouse. I am doing it to be in the spirit and won't be bothered if other adults don't dress up.

DD5 and I will be at MNSSHP on the 2nd and the 6th. I'm definitely not dressing up and DD is undecided. We're having a tough time finding something for her that will be cool, comfortable, and unique. Most Halloween costumes are not conducive to walking around a theme park and getting on and off rides easily. We'll probably end up wearing Halloween t-shirts.

Before we had our baby, we went and dressed up. Last year we were Woody and Jessie. We ill be there on the 24th (or 25th) we haven't figured out our costumes yet...

I would wear something cool (lightweight), and not constricting. you will also not want anything that will keep you off of the rides...

I was wondering the same thing. I'll be there Oct 22 to 28th

First have to decide if we want to go - is it too kiddish?? will two adults (and maybe if hes not working a 19 yr old son) enjoy this event?

Second if we go should we dress?? Don't want anything constricting or uncomfortable sooo looked around today and found i have some black workout pants that are 3/4 long with little slits on both legs - thinking i could wear these, buy red material to use a sash and pick up a pirates toy knife -

still trying to decide what type of top to wear? any suggestions?

If we go, i know i'm gonna try to find a costume from what i have around the house and just add a few accessories

Might as well get into the spirit of the whole event

Have a great time

We will be there on 10/2 also. DS 4 will be dressing up as Mr. Incredible. We bought a costume at the Disney store, but I am thinking that it might be too hot for him. We have a back up costume (incredibles t shirt, red pants or shorts, mask, gloves and boot covers). I might get a holloween shirt if there are any out before we go. DH will not be dressing up. Can't wait to go!!! :)

In the past Old Navy carried Halloween t-shirts and if i remember correctly they're pretty cheap. Actually surpised i haven't seen them yet, most of the stores around here are already selling lots of Halloween items

Last Oct we did the MNSSHP and we all dressed up; I was a knight, my x-wife as a tavern girl, her husband as a knight, my duaghter (12) as king arthur (don't ask, she's a tom-boy), and my youngest daughter as a princess....we bought all the customes before the trip and purchased form swords and shields in downtown disney....it was great!....Hey, its Disney...be a kid. (NOTE: I am a 39 year old mech engineer, as a result some would say I must be stuffy and uptight [verdict still out] but I still dressed up and had a great time!]....We were actually going to go as 101 dalmations; me as jasper, x-wife as cruella (lol), her husband as horace and the girls as puppies....but my little one wanted to be a princess.

Me and DH will be there on 10/2 we are not dressing up. I have been looking for a holiday t-shirt but have not really found any.

It looked to me last year that all the children did. I did see a good deal of adults dress up. I didn't, only because I'd rather be comfortable. Go and dress up with your little one and have fun, your DD won't be little forever. I do prefer the Mommies to dress up like Jasmine tho ;) (My wife refused)

We went last year none of us dressed up and did not feel out of place at all. I would say it is about 60/40 that dress up. We had a blast.

Last year we all dressed up in 50's dress. My wife got my two girls a one piece poodleskirt/costume at wal mart.I wore black jeans with a black&white striped shirt and penny loafers with white sox.My wife was the most simplistic. She wore a black skirt, long sleeved striped shirt and a scarf around her neck.We wore that get-up,because we stayed at POP in the 50's section.Yeah,we DID plan ahead. We felt perfectly comfortable.I agree with We4Mickey,it was about a 60/40 split on those wearing costumes.
