costume sizes from TDS?

Looking for a little help here. My closest DS is over an hour away now, so I not going to be able to zip over there and check them out myself. I'm planning to order a boys costume online while they are having such a great sale.

My question: I have had odd luck with sizing for my son's items at DS.
His last set of pj were 6X, and are way too small already.
Tshirts are mostly size 4-5 and fit fine.
Swim shorts that I bought size 4-5 based on tshirt fitting---literally fell off him! So, headed back and got the swim shorts in size 2-3, and still have to pin them.

so...what do you think the sizing runs similar to? Should I buy based on shirt size? Will his pants be falling down? (hard to hold a sword while holding your pants up) For those of you buying little boy costume....what is your experience with their costume sizes?

I can't help you with boys sizing however my dd is 6 and 2 years ago ( 4 yrs.) she was Minnie and size 6 fit well.

This year I got her the sz 7/8 Sleeping beauty and it's HUGE on her. I think anymore their clothing is definetely running big.

I have purchased my son's last two costumes from the Disney Store at his "correct" size. Their PJ's always run small so I buy a size bigger on those as well. I would think the 4/5 would be your best bet - even if it is a little too big, it is better than being too small
