Costume Idea?

Trying to decide what to dress as for Hallowe'en. I know it's early but I'll be making my own costume and I might need the time. It can't be too expensive or insanely difficult. Also, my school has a "Safe school policy" so I can not have full face make up or a full mask.

I love the idea of being Belle, but I'm thinking that the Gown might to be difficult to make, and that the Provinical Life (blue dress) might not be recognizable enough (please correct me if I'm wrong- on either account). Minnie Mouse is my second option, because she could be fun,

I'm open to other Disney suggestions! Or if you have an idea on how I can pull together and create one of my costume ideas I would love to hear it!

PS- I would love to hear what everyone else is going as, if anything!

well i'm going as wendy darling for halloween if i can find an adult size outfit nd my friends going as tinkerbell but i thin k u should go as belle if u can make her yellow gown

Oh, I think that the provincial dress is recognizable enough, especially if you have the hair to go with and maybe some props. (e.g. a basket and book.) And it'd be easier to make and less cumbersome to wear than the gown --which does sound lie it'd be a great Halloween costume-- so it's all down to whether or not you want to do all the extra sewing and hair-dressing with the gown. Either one would be nice, but the blue one's probably more practical.

Whichever one you like best, though, is the one I'd go for.

And I'm going as... I don't know yet. Possibly Dr. McCoy, possibly the pokemon in my avatar, could be something else entirely. I haven't decided yet. ]:

each of the ideas sound really cute. my friend cosplays..er...dresses up as belle and she made the provincial town outfit and she was recognized. ANYONE will recognize minnie mouse. for this halloween for the party at wdw, shes wearing belle's gown. she bought this dress:

took off the sash, bought some fabric, stitched on her off the shoulder sleeves, and we made the hair clip, dyed the gloves and bought some sparkles to spray on the gown to make it shimmer.

making the gown will be a lot, but theres nothing wrong with trying. check jo anne for a pattern and you can estimate how much it will be. it'll be easier to make a decision based on price.

I'm trying to make mine...But its taking a long time...I want to be a recycling plant or something of that fashion...I'm making my costume all out of plastic bags fused together and sewing them into stuff...so far i have part of the skirt.
