Has anyone used this when they were trying to figure out the cost of driving? Is it pretty accurate?

It looks like it gives close to the estimate that gasbuddy.com gives, so it's probably close.

Seems not too bad, but Gasbuddy provides more options like adding your own fuel consumption figure if you know it. Gasbuddy has been good at estimating my costs, but don't forget to plan for a good part of a tank if you drive around a lot at your destination. I notice for my vehicle that costtodrive does not offer any choices for vehicle options (2wd vs 4wd) with different fuel consumption numbers.
